I was rooting through the pantry looking for the baking soda when I found a jar of Postum. WooT! I love coffee and I love Tea, but sometimes, I want a nice, toasty roasty beverage that's got no caffeine. (I'm half tempted to put it on eBay and see what it fetches.)

I checked Ebay's completed list for Postum, and it looks like the 8 oz. blue label, sealed postum jars are going for between 40 and 60 dollars!

akk we have bought Postum in the store here before and no where near that type of cost.....I have not looked for it for long time but it was tasty when I drank it before...it is a common drink for Morman's who are not allowed to drink coffee or tea...because of caffene.....I will take a look when I go to grocery store again....it used to be on shelf here....if it fetches that much on Ebay I bet I could clean up if I find it at reasonable prices....

K- I LOVE Post um!! Used to drink it years ago when I was nursing my daughter and avoiding caffeine. These days( 25 years later...)-- I am no longer nursing and actually NEED a bit of caffeine in the morning but cannot tolerate more than a half cup of coffee - else I fly around the room and they have to fly up and get me down. So have been making cocoa in the morning with a teeny bit of instant coffee in it. But Postum( roasted barley if I am not mistaken- I could easily be mistaken) with a pinch of instant coffee in it? sounds good to me!! And could drink it in the evening too!. Warning- NOT All green tea is decaff........... beware packages of tea that have no information in English. I couldn't get my eyeballs to close- didn't have any tears left- was awake for almost two days-. Just thought it was detoxing me until the heart palpitations got the better of me.. Just kept sipping tea for 2 days thinking - this is SUPPOSED to be good for me. Yeah!!!! I wish I had a pantry to root through......- I lust for cupboard space. Bizzy
