The weatherman is saying we're going to get 6-12 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow! YIKES!
OK, I'm getting ahead of myself here. I was in Urgent Care all day Monday and spent the night in the Cardiac ward for observation. I had abdominal pain on my lower right side. No fever or nausea but I did have bloody diarrhea last week. The bloodwork did show my SED rate was up, meaning inflammation, but my CT scan was normal. I still have my appendix and gall bladder, so those were ruled out. My PCP felt it was a flareup of my ulcerative colitis, so I was kept overnight. I was released Tuesday afternoon. I went home, made sure Angel (who was in the bathroom) was OK, then crashed out for the night.
Tuesday morning....I heard on TV that we were going to get a LOT of snow and possibly ice Thursday night. So after my cup of coffee I quickly paid bills, mailed them off at the post office, got a few groceries and essentials (TP, kitty litter and cat food), visited the Bookmobile, then came home. Every place was crowded with people preparing for the storm. I'm now prepared in case I get snowed in again. I hope and pray we don't have a power outage. My apartment is ALL electricity - I'd have no way to cook food or stay warm if the power went out. I do have a cooler to store food from the fridge outside just in case, and I have foodstuffs in my Emergency Box. And Angel has enough food and kitty litter.
We're ready for snow and cabin fever!

Ingers crossed that your power stays on. BTW, I am impressed with how much you got done the day after a bad collitis flare-up. Maybe the snow will give you a chance to rest a little

Oh, I hope you Don't get snowed in. Is there someone you can call if the power goes out, assuming you have a corded phone as well as a cordless one. I learned that lesson the hard way. You are simply amazing in all you got done to prepare for the storm. If you don't have one in your emergency kit, a "space blanket" is a great little wonder. It's made of mylar and reflects your body heat back to your body. They really work well and fold up into a really small package. I keep one in my car and one in the house. Didn't even try to fold them up like they came to me, just folded them into a ziploc bag. Once my car got stuck on my country road during a blizzard and it kept me warm until I was rescued. I do hope you feel better and that you don't have any more flare-ups. Sweet nuzzles to Angel.
