Since I started with this wonderful site and loving people I've paid attention to what I'm doing right as well as what I do wrong. Before all I could see was where I didn't get it right which seemed to be most of the time.
So I got it right:
On Thursday I went to a travel show in London. At the show I was given lots of brochures etc and I've found it easier to accept these rather than to argue. I took them home as usual but instead of saving them all, just in case as usual, I read through them and threw out all but three which are of actual use to me.
This is different behaviour and I owe it to the wisdom which I have been given on this site.
On this site there is wisdom given with love.
Thanks everyone
Rory

That's great Rory!! I have done a similar thing at work-about 2 weeks ago, I started a clean-up of my office. I have SO many pieces of mail that come into my day care. So of course, my intention used to be to just put them on the side until I got the time to read through everything-well, piles later so what I did was go through everything, if I knew I had no interest in it, I threw it right away. Things I knew I might need, I put into folders or have just a TINY pile. Now I get my mail in every day, and look at it all in the same afternoon. It looks and feels great!! :-) Debi

I think there is an e mail address somewhere online where you can ask for stuff not to be mailed to you - that helped me out bigtime. I have been told to stand over the trashcan/wastebasket as you open mail - then it goes directly into it as you open it - never touching any service. And I am getting better about not bringing it home in the first place. The more time you have something the harder it is to throw it out latter. If something lands on a surface - it will probably stay there.

That is great! I always feel bad if I don't take them. So nice to know you can toss them. You are an inspiration.
