I went down this week to see my new place at Galveston. It is wonderful!!!! I told my husband that this is a chance to start over clutter free. I live next door to the maintenance man, upstairs are two doctors one male and one female. The lady across the parking lot is the mother of the maintenance man and she rents out rooms. There is a much older man who lives in the house in back and he ventures out on to the porch occassionally. The apartment is CLEAN. People from the university maintenance pop in from time to time once to leave a note about some kind of inspection and once to fix a slow drain. this kind of accountbility is good for me. I was inspired to do a major dejunking when I came home. I think I'll post how much crap I remove each week until I go down for a permanent while.

Awesome, iguanamamma!! This sounds so great! And, I LOVE Galveston!! What a great place to live....the island has a pace all it's own. And the best July 4th fireworks display in Texas....out over the gulf.....beautiful!! You will love it!! And 'Dickens on the Strand' at Christmas is soo fun, not to mention Mardi Gras!!! I am envious of you, my SOS sib! Congratulations to you for your choice, motivation, and determination! You deserve a happy life!

I am also getting ready for a fresh start - moving 30 miles by the end of August.
I am looking forward to the finished product - being decluttered and moved in. It's the in between work that is overwhelming. But I am going to keep chipping away at it.
Keep us posted - and it would be awesome to see some pics of the new place!
