I fell over stuff in my living room and broke my right hand. It could have been someone in my family. I am so TIRED of living like this. I'm tired of trying and failing. I just want something that works! I just want to be normal and i am very clearly not normal. God help me, i would probably cut this hand off if i could be cured.

Dear Lilith ~~ I am so sorry to read that you fell and injured your hand. If it's any consolation, a year ago I fell and broke and dislocated a finger. That fall occurred while on vacation and in a spotless, non-cluttered B&B. (I missed the bottom step of the stairway.) Falls can happen anywhere! Please don't be so hard on yourself. Right now it is important that you care for your hand and go to rehab to regain full functionality. Please take care, dear one.

I am sorry you broke your hand, and even more sorry that the incident has brought your feelings so low . Take it as easy on yourself as you can

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I know it is frustrating...beyond frustrating...to know that "if only" this could have been prevented. But, as Peach said, accidents can happen anywhere. You could have tripped on the sidewalk or slipped on a wet floor.
If it were me I would use this time to reset my mind. Do some reading, figure out some coping strategies. I liked the Messies manual and the Clean Team book. If I could just figure out a way to make myself do the stuff...
Anyway I know your hand will heal and you will be as good as new in a few weeks' time. Do take it easy on yourself. We are all thinking of you here. You know you can come cry here anytime you need to.

Dear Lilith,
Every day, little by little, I believe your thinking is changing and eventually it will show in your house.
"Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." ~Christopher Robin to Pooh.
I believe that of you, too.

Lilith, I'm so sorry you got hurt and are feeling so down. I am very clumsy and don't need anything to be on the floor to trip. I once tripped over a door frame and I believe broke my toes! Hugs and things will get better.

A zillion years ago, my grandmother "Nana" wanted to go to church. It was snowy-icy outside, and her family was up in arms. They insisted she stay home. She did. And then later that day fell on the polished wood floor of the dining room. I think she broke her arm too. Immaculate, spotless house....
Please: rest and heal. And THINK about how you can proceed, slowly, to restore order. Or create order for the first time. Or just make things a tiny bit better.

..." "Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." ~Christopher Robin to Pooh... I this quote! Lilith, I can trip over my two feet in a room with nothing else in it. If you can, try to use your frustration to get you going again. Take care!

Please don't be too hard on yourself. What would you say to any of us were posting this? Treat yourself as you would a dear friend. With soft hands and a warm heart. You are changing! You are going to live in that clear space. You want it so much I can tell you WILL get there. Take care of yourself, get well and keep taking one step at a time.

I'm sorry you fell, I hope you feel better soon.. gentle hugs.
please don't be so hard on yourself I can fall over the silliest things, last night I fell and twisted my ankle after stepping on a dog toy.
so even if my house was perfectly clutter free there will always be stuff to watch out for.

OUCH I'm so sorry this happened to you but am glad it wasn't any worse..i.e. you're still with us. I'll echo the others' words. Time to take care of yourself emotionally and regroup. I think a lot of us can identify with your frustration. You've actually taken the words out of my mouth about my mental state this week. It's so blasted hard to try to deal ( and re-deal ad nauseum) with it all when you're physically down as well. I'll be thinking of you Lilith and will say a prayer as I'm turning in tonight for a speedy recovery and renewed spirit for you. Take Care , serenitynow

Lilith,
Sorry for your injury. But as the other's said, you could have an accident and fallen anywhere! When I injured my knee, it was stepping down off of a bus, which I have done thousands of times before.
No you are far from normal, you are special!
