Thanks Chris, I'm home now but I'm pretty sure I have to do one dog walk and the client isn't home. So again I have to wait, but I'm going to make sure I don't waste time, I'm going to work on getting my kitchen back to "my" maintenance (maybe I should call it "good enough maintenance"? It means I'm back to where I was at the best point in my journey to completely finished. How about "plateau maintenance"?) and put away the stuff (mainly cat food) that I bought today. Diane Hi Diane -- I hope your wait won't be long for the client so you can walk the dog. Today the check boxes worked pretty good for me -- they went in where I wanted them to go although it still doesn't stay displayed so that it is easy to keep using the same one -- I guess it's still there but requires a click to re-display it but I was happy it worked at least!!

Right after I sent the message that I was going to work in the kitchen I got the call to go on the walk, so that was good, except that after coming home all I've done is put away my purchases.
I'm so pleased that the smileys work now, I'm going to make a list for today and try a few insertions just to be doubly sure.
Chris, I have a template that I copy every morning to make the list from, so I won't have to make the "to do" checkboxes every day, so that will help the issue with having to continue opening the box up.
Diane

I discovered a new setting that changed the way the pop-up box is displayed.
Thank you again Celeste!
I realized that I never did get here to make a list today. After volunteer work, a walk and the grocery store I came home and took a nap. I'm not sure what was wrong but I really had no energy at all. I try not to nap in the afternoon because then my bedtime is later, and it's already late enough.
I'm going to make a weekend project for my maintenance again.

Well, I'm pleased with the weekend, I got most of the decluttering done, things are not quite the way I want them but way, way better than how the place looked on Friday night. I finished my freezer and fridge cleanout, and I think I have to start a thread for eating up food that I already have. I have always purchased things on sale, so I have a stock of food that I got really cheap--I try not to get more than I can eat before it spoils, I usually don't do too badly at that--most of the "wasted" food I have is fresh veggies, and I can never make that work exactly no matter what. But I find I'm buying non-sale food when I have plenty at home. If it's a great sale it's okay, but now it's just stuff I see in the store or happen to have a taste for. I have plenty of food at home, usually something healthier than what I'm buying. I MUST eat up the older stuff in my pantry and freezer and stop buying more. I was always intrigued by those stories of French people who went out every day and bought just one day's food in their little string bags! Imagine just buying one day's food at a time. Of course, you can't take advantage of sales like that, and if you get sick and can't go out you're in trouble, and I'd NEVER want to live like that, without spare stuff at home. But I have to admit there's something appealing about it. I'd like to live somewhere in between that scenario, and having enough food for 3 weeks of meals stuffed into my freezer so I can barely close the door! I'm going to make tomorrow's list tonight because I have several things to put on there already. I need to make a lot of progress this week, if I can't be working for pay, I can at least be working to get my apartment in order. Diane

::noisemaker::Congrats on your fridge cleanout, Diane! I just did mine late last week & it's wonderful to have that nasty job done! The freezer portion will be some other time. You mentioned daily grocery shopping-- prior to this fridge I relied on a dorm-size fridge for many years & that kept me returning to the store every 2-3 days since you had to be ~very~ selective since it held so little. Good luck getting to the rest of your agenda!

Hi Sidestep, thanks for stopping by! I'm always so pleased when I get my fridge cleaned out, I have to confess that this morning I opened the fridge just to look inside and see how neat it looked! However, it would be good if it were a little emptier, so I'm really going to work on not having as much spare food. Diane

It's 2:15 and I'm still waiting to do the walk that was supposed to happen between 12:00 and 1:00. At least I'm being productive, usually when this happens I don't do anything while I'm waiting. I'm half way done with my dishes and I figured out the estimated tax payment form--what a nightmare--that took longer than I thought it would. I have a walk later this afternoon so can't start laundry until after that. Diane
