THanks so much. I posted these on Facebook because I never know who might benefit.

Thanks, I was able to get the Kindle eBook, but the Barnes & Noble button isn't working for me. I like to try to get both formats free when I can as I don't know which eReader I will eventually buy in the future.

I have to figure out if I can use Calibre to convert these books; I know I can use it for .txt and pdf documents...or epubs; I'll have to look into the kindle version! (I use a Sony eReader, and it takes epubs) If it's convertable, I can tell you where to get Calibre, and when you get an eReader, I can help you figure out how to use it

I just downloaded kindle for PC for free on my computer. Then I downloaded the book for free.
FYI, the book was previously published in 2005 as The Messie's Manual.

Thanks, Sparkle, for this info! And thanks, Ally, for the tip! I just did the same thing. I'm a fan of Sandra Felton

It is definitely for converting EPUB & PDF formats so they can be read on the Kindle. I don't think it goes the other way, though. So, it's actually better to get the ePub version instead of the Kindle version, if one doesn't know which eReader they will be getting, as EPUB can be converted for Kindle later, if one ends up getting that instead. When I started collecting free eBooks, I found it was simpler to just download both formats if they are available. This way, I won't have to convert an eBook later. All I needed was all three of the free eBook apps for the computer: Kindle for PC, Nook for PC and Adobe Digital Reader (for PDF eBooks and library eBooks.) Then I can download and save any books for when I finally get an eReader. Although, with the new tablets out now, like the iPad, I can simply download the same eBook apps to a tablet and I won't have to choose between the different eBook formats. I can have all three. I'm thinking of going that route instead, eventually.

How nice to post this.. I have a Nook. Make sure you are signed in to B&N and have a Nook account. I have an AP on my phone for both Nook and Kindle, but do not use it much.. and I gave my BF an Ipad, and can use it, but easier reading on a Nook for me. Thanks!

I 'bought it' for FREE through the actual physical Nook, and that worked fine. I haven't tried to download a book to the computer and transfer it to the Nook yet. I hope it will be easy when I get around to it, my library lends out ebooks!
