This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing.
- Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or
depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's
- Took pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's:
- Bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- Put dirty socks in hamper
- Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.
YOU DESERVE THEM!

Good morning everyone! I am having a hard time waking up. But maybe if I move around a bit, my eyes will stay open.
TaDa:
1. Got up. No easy feat this morning.
2. DD and I ate breakfast.
3. Came here and started thread!
TaDa:
1. Take morning meds.
2. Make tall glass of caffeine. (iced tea)
3. Reboot laundry.
ToDo:

ya know, I am so tired. And we have a full afternon/evening planned. I think I am going to lay back down for a bit. Hopefully I will see y'all later!

Good Morning everyone! Welcome Mrs. Hen!   tadas: pet chores answered email brought in a flower from the yard and put it in a cup to cheer up the kitchen todos: continue with closet cleaning: 3 bags of trash out so far (1 clothes, 2 papers) photograph stuffed animals so I can toss them (ack! ack! donwanna!) toss in a load of laundry oh, yeah, eat something |

Snailspace, what a nice idea to 'flower up' this morning. After doing a quick mental walk around of the yard, I'm pretty sure nothing is blooming here, but if it was I'd be following your lead.
My ta das:
Emptied dishwasher
Loaded and ran dishwasher
Started one load of clothes in washer
Now I'm going to take a break while I try to talk myself into doing some more.

Ta Das
Fixed me breakfast, hashbrowns, eggs, and onions.
Cleaned up the dishes, put them away and whiped down counter tops
Took Meds
To Do's
Clean out the long cabinet to the left of the refridge and declutter.
1. Put the cleaning supplies in a box
2. Throw out the Junk(in the trash can) I haven't used
3. God...help me to keep 5 to 6 choice cookbooks(Name-them) and trash the rest!

"Lots" is like "more", but "more" means spending more time on things while "lots" is doing more things. I guess I want to do both "more" and "lots" this long weekend!

Small steps, but lots of them is the goal today. With so much to do looming over me, it's going to be easy to give up.

* Scoooop! The new litter is great, but I have to clean the litterboxes more often (I only had to do it once a year before)

I love that expression, Mrs. Hen! syzygy: I read your post and opened my curtains, too! clearwaterush: your breakfast sounded good: I just had vegetarian bacon on rye toast tadas: made breakfast rounded up another bag of paper trash from the closet, old notebooks and such pulled out a bunch of stuff and stared at it todo: make some decisions on the abovementioned bunch of stuff and do it |

Grrrrrr..... took so long to post that by the time i clicked on post my session had timed out, and I was no longer logged in! SO lost the whole post!  TADAs: 1. made breakfast for family. 2. ordered cat food delivery. 3. went to the shop for cough medicine. TODOs:  1. order new handheld vacuum. 2. hoover the very small amount of floorspace in the bedroom. (Which extended to the bathroom, landing, stairs, hallway and living room! Not that there's much floorspace to hoover!!  ) 3. clear corner of bathroom of rubbish and recycling. All that while coughing up my guts!! I'm not a well bunny!!  |

Saphire, so sorry to hear you're all coughy. Hope it gets better soon.
My ta das:
Got daughter to take meds and pick up room some.
Helped son photograph his new lego creation.
That's it - everything else I tried to do was interupted by these two.
My to dos
make coffee
load up the woodstove
put clean sheets in drier
THEN ... some knitting and quiet - if I have to lock everyone outside. It's like I'm wearing a 'please come over and bother me' hat this morning.

Thank you so much syzygy and Mrs Hen! I am taking it easy today. After I finished those 3 TODOs (which are now down to 2!! Yay!) that is it for today. And tomorrow OH has the day off and we're all going out for the day and relaxing in the evening! So I'll get plenty of rest then! That's what's keeping me going today! |
