Holy Mackerel. Is there no end to the papers I have stashed in this closet? I just keep finding bin after bin after bin..... I decided to tackle the other side for a change of scenery and found a stack of notebooks full of... you guessed it. More paper. There's got to be a finite amount, right? Right? Promise me it's finite.

I SUFFERED a massive head ake attack after I did my cookbooks. I had 47 cookbooks and a 1000 + magazine receipes. I kept 25 cookbooks (I couldn't cut it down any more than I did), and dumped 22 more in the trash can; along with ALL the 1000 + ones....I took three regular asprin). My To Do's 1. Look at the box of over 30+ cleaners 2. Look at the entire empty length of cupboard to the left of the Fridge 3. Put my cookbooks in the pantry 4. Look at the box of cleaners...................... 5. Clean the bottom shelf of that empty cupboard (What will I ever put there?) What do you all put up in your cupboards here?

I've been AWOL for a while, but it's a good AWOL.
My ta da's:
Ordered a tivo
got to a stopping place on the sweater I'm knitting for my daughter. There is much left to do, but the big mistake is now fixed. Somehow, I made a cardigan that was 6 inches apart in the front, so I had to add quite a bit to get it to meet up so I could do the trim and buttonholes.
Figured out what I was going to do the rest of the day
my to do's
Cook pork chops and rice for dinner wash some pots and pans empty dishwasher

Ta dah * Brought down more garbage * Cleaned everything out of the kitchen to prepare for floor washing * Vacuumed kitchen floor * Set up my seldom-used Mop Vac....
Ta don't * Discovered that I need to recharge the battery for 24 hours. An hour of charging gave me about a minute of use * Also discovered that a cat might be peeing way under the table- maybe because there's a little litter that gets spilled so they think it's ok? And the litter and urine mix to form a concrete mixture with a slimy top when water/cleaner/detergent is used. Very gross.
To do * Come up with a different way of doing this. I need a mop with a heavy duty scrubber or I have to do it by hand and knees

syzergy--You're doing great! Don't know what to tell you about the litter problem. i do have question, though. Is this where the litter is kicked out of the litter box and she pees close to or next to the litterbox? If so, I laid newspapers under the litterbox & bought that thick plastic like for putting under chairs or to protect carpeting...like a runner or something. It comes on a roll at the hardware store and they can just cut the amount you want. I put that under the newspaper. Don't know if that is your situation or if this is a possible solution for after you somehow get it clean... Snailspace-- You are doing wonders in that closet!!! I am wondering what types of papers and what you are doing with them? Are you tossing, recycling them all or filing, etc.... I have tons of papers that I've got to get through and soon! But, probably not today... Saphire--I hope you feel better and coughing goes away soon. Tadas: 1)took bag of trash to outside can 2)folded/hung load of laundry 3)put that load away Todos: 1)put load #1 in washer 2)unload dishwasher 3)put hand-washed stuff from drainboard away Gotta get my stuff done! Thank you, Cando! I'm so tired and have a huge mess in the bedroom now and garbage bags everywhere so I appreciate the encouragement. The paper apparently stems from a prior obsession to keeping hard copies of EVERYTHING, so it's all sorts of stuff - copies of letters, journals, emails, craft patterns, entire bins of stuff printed off the internet, etc. I'm just bagging it up and tossing it, after a quick glance to see what it is, not trying to re-read it all. Fortunately on a previous closet-cleaning effort last year I sorted everything into totes, so it's at least grouped by type. I don't have paper recycling here, (the only things I recycle are glass and plastic food containers and then only if I don't have to do more than rinse them out, I can't deal with doing more than that right now) I'm feeling strangely dispassionate about all this stuff right now, I just want it out of here. My goal for my bedroom is no plastic storage totes outside of the closet, so whatever I can't fit in there has got to go. I cleared off the bed of bags and baskets so I can at least lie down, . Trash comes on Tuesday, we'll see how much I can get to the curb. I'm trying to pace myself here, remember this might take a couple days!

Ta dah * Went out to pick up dinner and got a mat to put under the litter box to catch the spill-over. I'm going to go back down to one box too. Maybe that will help. * Scrubbie-Do to the rescue. I can scrub with that and pick up the water with my mop. * Moved the stuff back out of the way of the back door to go get that stuff. * Moved the stuff back in front of the door to mop. * Did a little section- Scrubbie, then mop.
Ta don't * Then the mop broke. Seriously. It actually broke. * Decided it's time for a break.

syzergy--You're doing great! Don't know what to tell you about the litter problem. i do have question, though. Is this where the litter is kicked out of the litter box and she pees close to or next to the litterbox? The litter is kind of fine and it gets tracked out and all around the boxes. And yes, it's near the litter boxes.
