Yay, cleanbee, for getting all that laundry folded and put away. I've still got some to put away--it's sitting on top of the dryer; that will get done today, and maybe one load washed.

cleanbee, did you get those towels put away this morning? I'm feeling really good about my laundry lately, I'm doing 1-2 loads a day at this point, and finally feel caught up, at least one if not both of my machines are empty at bed time.

Posting here for motivation. I have a family of 8 and our laundry room is in a desperate state. What compounds the situation is having to squeeze between piles to get to my machines makes me not want to do anything at all - it triggers my claustrophobia. The whole time I'm switching loads I feel like I could crawl out of my skin. My mother is coming over on Thursday to watch my 2yo twins so I can just take all day and clean the room up. I'm going to end up just taking baskets full of stuff and sticking them on the patio and then getting rid of stuff on the shelves that are just clutter like a couple boxes of stuff people 'donated' to us. (I picked through them a bit right after they were given to us and they were full of junk!) Hopefully that will give me the ability to spend a week or so catching things up. The people in my family all seem to own too many clothes and I need them to donate stuff. The problem is getting enough of the desirable stuff clean so that it's not a necessity to wear the less-desirable stuff.

I worked for four hours pretty much non-stop on the laundry room and it's now at least navigable. I have trash bags and baskets full of laundry on the patio and there's still a pile of junk mixed with clothes in the middle of the floor, but I can at least get to the counter so I can sort the clean laundry into everyone's baskets instead of piling it up all over. I'm exhausted now, but tomorrow I'm going to get the current stock of clean laundry sorted so I can start washing the dirty stuff. I have a goal of doing 4 loads a day until I'm caught up. That's a huge amount, I know, but at the rate my family dirties laundry I really should be doing two loads a day on a regular basis. I'm hoping I can get them to donate some things so it's less possible to accumulate a backlog like this.
