Decided that since the only projects keeping my bedroom from being clean is doing the paperwork, laundry basket of clean laundry and cleaning the top of the dresser of weird items that that will be this weekend' s project. Paperwork. I have been working on paperwork for an hour and a half so far. I refuse to give up.

Great work on all the papers, ClimbingPyramids , papermoon , Louie and lostchild ! Aug. 25 -- Took 1 bag of recyclable paper type stuff to outside can & scooted it out for pick up. Searched for and found medical tests records that I needed to find. From 2006!!! That was time consuming. In the process: 1 paper "to be shred". 11 papers put in recycle bag. 1 shoebox put in recycle bag (I knocked down a stack of boxes, and managed to get rid of this one shoebox). Got DH to sign Anniversary card & got it and gift ready to mail. Went to post office & mailed Anniversary card & the 2 packages of mail/papers to DS. Phone call re: auto insurance issue. This is really a mess now... aarrgghh! It seems that phone calls are definitely related to paperwork and/or decluttering papers!Aug. 26 - paid a bill, 3 papers into recycle bag. Spent 15 minutes going thru some mail from yesterday. Aug. 27 - phone call to Fedex re: bill. Another phone call to DD's apt complex re: fedex bill. Reviewing fedex bill -- a huge bill, but ended up it is correct. It really looked like some things were incorrect, but in the end... it all washed out & found out the apt. complex did have someone sign when Fedex delivered even though all the boxes were left outside DD's door. I paid a lot extra for a signature, but did not know that it was going to be so much. They charged per box rather than the entire shipments. So, looks like no credits as I owe the entire amount. I knew it would be a big bill, but knew DD did not sign for them & they were left stacked outside her apt door. Spent about an hour on this!!! Updated dog stuff on calendar. 16 minutes -- Filed papers from bag from top of Buffet in Dining Room (these were from 2011). - 4 "to be shred", 1 into trash, 7 papers into recycle bag Another 16 minutes -- Shred 75 papers (from 2010 and 2014), Filed a paper, Made phone call re: another paper. Aug. 28th A few minutes on Student Loan stuff. Phone call with DMom re: scheduling -- patience! This has to do with one of my papers... - 15 min. 45 min. - Phone call with 1 Bro. & texting with another re: "Lawyer Project"., printed out 6 page questionnaire and list of needed documents. Once again, phone calls surround dealing with papers... I already had several pages of notes out on my Dining Room Table. Aug. 29th 3 hours working on "Lawyer Project". Long phone calls, text messages, printed out info. ( A lot accomplished!) 23 min. - Shredded 45 papers (2008 - 2014) Put 11 papers into recycle bag, Emptied shredder & put bag of shreds into garage (to be recycled) 40 min. - paid bills & went to post office CD

Hi y'all! OK, paper is my nemesis! I have stashed mail and whatnot in various hidey holes so time for it to go!
Today's goal is to gather up a garage bag of old mail, shred it, and get it OUT OF HERE along with some other recycling!

welcome breaking free yay for paper shredding that stack!! I could use an industrial shredder too, the one I have is really slow. lost child - good work hanging in there for so long with the paper clutter! hey cando love reading what you've done each day, and good on you for getting through so much, I agree about the phone calls and paperwork connection, I think I often procrastinate to avoid the phone call. The finances and paperwork are linked strongly too for me, if I am behind on the paperwork then I get behind on the bills and that creates more phone calls! Yesterday I made good progress on my tax, breaking it down helped, but it was really frustrating that I still can't find two bits of paper that I need - I can get a copy of them but it will cost me $50. I searched for a while but was starting to get annoyed with myself so I decided to spend the afternoon quilting which was really relaxing. I'll get back to working on my tax papers today.

The goal tonight is at least an hour's paperwork after doing my homework. I read chapter 8 and am working on 9. Just back from birthday party. It was stressful. We were supposed to go to a place and all meet up.
The one chore we asked some one to do they didn't. Confirm the location. All of us headed there and turns out the place closed a couple of months ago.Imagine the chaos of all the people to be notified to go someplace else with no reservation or idea if there would be space...
All I could think is I could have been doing my paperwork.
It took a solid hour and a half to get everybody to the right location. People went to closed place, someone else went to same place we chose as an alternative but next town over.
I feel like I should have been doing paperwork. I feel so guilty.

To assuage guilt did 40 minutes worth and guess what I found...the top of my dresser. I now have a mirror, penny dish, pictures and jewelry box and jewelry holder. No papers no junk nor any junk mail. Just what belongs on a dresser. I see the light at the end tunnel. Still a ways but I see it.
Second dresser 2/3 done...if I finish top tomorrow all that's left is corner of bedroom with papers.

Hi all it has been awhile since I posted. I had planned to make some major strides over my summer break but instead I went on a hiatus. Not sure if I should be happy about the hiatus and taking a break or if I should be kicking my self in the butt for not using my time more effectively. Either way it will not make a difference so it is just time to MAKE IT HAPPEN.
I will commit to working 2.50 hours a week on Financial/Paper organization. That will be 15 mins a day Monday - Friday and 30 mins a day Saturday - Sunday. Will report back later with accomplishments for today.

Roadrunner I was off too for a while and came back. Trust me I lurked for two months then decided to come in from the cold.
I finished 15 minutes of paperwork last night but that was a bag of trash.
I find that if every time I leave my bedroom I take some papers with me the pile goes down.
I filed and I feel this weekend was productive even though my room isn't finished. I have a clean dresser inside and out.
The second dresser is empty and I found a stash of two drawers with papers. I took the stashes and put it with the corner papers and its not so bad...Its the only place with papers out of place in the whole house so when I am finished I am finished.
Down to basket and pile for whole house.
This is progress. I also am making a point of dealing with current papers with three days. I can't always deal with them daily because they need filling in or additional information. But am doing better.
