Paid a couple bills, last night. 7 papers into recycle bag. Noticed an important insurance form that I was supposed to fiill out & send back in, but never did. I know why, now... it is confusing. DH is going to call about it while I'm at work, today. CD

Completed medical insurance form that I had been procrastinating on for over a month because we were unsure how to complete it. I did it, finally!

Paper Hour today: 1 old magazine > KEEP
Minor freak-out upon opening an upsetting letter from Medi-Cal in today's mail. I will take it next week to the eligibility case manager for help. Meanwhile, since I can't do anything until then, I will set it aside and try to breathe.
Update: As I had hoped, the eligibility officer straightened things out. Even though Medi-Cal has increased my deductible by 50%, I am on an "extra help" program that covers it. Whew!

Yes, breathe. Sorry to hear about this. I think things like that is one reason I find it hard to go thru mail. I'm afraid of things like that. But when I let things sit, it only hurts more. Good at least that you go thru your mail so you can get it addressed quickly & timely.
I'm sending good positive thoughts to you. Cd

cando ~ I had been moping around all morning about it. But when I read your post, it was just what I needed to get me up off my butt. Thank you! I bravely phoned the eligibility officer and asked for HELP! She can see me next week, 45 minutes before my doctor appointment. I have faith in her to fix this problem. For about a year now, I've been keeping a letter opener inside my mailbox in the lobby, so I can open scary-looking mail *immediately* instead of avoiding the mail and working myself up into a lather about what might be inside the envelopes. I usually do this on my way out of the building, to do errands. If there's bad news (like yesterday) it helps me to think as I walk off the fears, and to start coming up with a coping plan. In the far distant past, I would have set the envelopes aside unopened, sometimes for months, and let myself get eaten up inside with worry and fear. Thankfully, those days are long gone. This thread gives me strength and helps me continue the good habit of processing the mail every single day.

papermoon, I like your solution!
out today --- one magazine, kept only the one pattern I wanted in it which is filed.
Also cleaned up the Halloween decor, just have to put the bags back in the closet...which is currently unreachable, in the Doom Room.

Yesterday, I paid a bunch of bills and have more to pay, tomorrow. Went thru a bunch of mail -- put 68 papers into the recycle bag. Put about 5 into trash.
