I put pair of jeans and some small items in the donation box. I still haven't gotten around to actually take the donations...

I went trough all my medicine/medicated stuff and gathered everything that was expired or would be expired were soon (and that I was unlikely to use up). It turned out to be a surprisingly big bag! I will take them to the pharmacy's collecting bin for old medication tomorrow, when I need to go there anyway.
I also threw away a lighter that was almost empty.
Oh, and several (4 or 5?) bottles from the shower, stuff that had only little left but I never used up.

Purging some of the hand-me-down clothes, sometimes its hard to remember that I don't actually have to keep everything that is given to me.

10 Decorative items 1 Telephone 9 Board Books 14 Stuffed Animals 7 Pairs of shoes 2 Pairs of socks 10 Random toys and things
I forgot to bring the bag of clothes. I guess that's ok, I'll give new neighbors first pick of those anyway.

Saw someone looking for size 2T clothes for free or cheap on FB, went through the bag of clothes and got some, then went through The General's drawers and the laundry hamper and came up with more!
15 shorts 12 short sleeve shirts 6 long sleeve shirts 5 pairs of pants 8 pairs of socks 4 pajama sets 6 sweaters 2 jackets
I think that's 58!

I got so cocky this year and didn't count individual papers. Now look how far behind I am!
Donated to a family in need:
Wii 2 extra controllers Wii Guitar Crossbow wii controller holder 10 games
Thrown Away/Recycled:
4 catalogues 2 magazines 3 grubby clothes 5 bits and bobs
Giving helps me get rid of things I might normally not be ready to take amnesty for or just straight up donate, so I've looked on some "In Search Of" posts on a facebook group local to me and will be giving away some baby toys, books, fabric, and craft supplies too. I'll wait and count them after they leave the house though.

I do this every time. Forget about this until December and then do a big purge. In some ways it is frustrating, in other ways it feels really good. cando, disarray, dtesposito, fluffychild, gottaproblem, helen, irisbloom, Jannie, kmogirl, lyerin, MamaAngie, neatncleanin2014, OnTheMend, perfectionist, powerpuff, puppybox, Rory, saffron, Serendipity, SetMeFree, sooverit, sparkle, Start We've all made progress! I'd be interested to see how many things we've tossed cumulatively even if few of us make it to 2014. Jump back in wherever you are and join me in a race to the new year! Those of you who aren't counting, those of you who've made the goal twice already, lets all do another push anyway! Thanks for the cheerleading Arid, hollyhock, papermoon, turkeyhill, zinnia

Wow Papergrace, this is weird--you posted while I was posting in my "one in one out" thread (that I abandoned in November because I had released enough books). I just said that I didn't want to let down my guard, I still need to offset what I bring in with some going out--so maybe I'll find a few to release during the last two days of 2014!

Okay, you inspired me--I just went and found three of my own books to get rid of, which makes my in/out tally for the last two months of the year exactly even!

Wow, PaperGrace, The NEW YEAR is upon us. I know I released 2014 items this year. I dropped out of the count after I reached that goal. I think I'll continue through the entire 2015 beyond 2015 items. today: 3 sacks of garbage to alley can I'll list more on Tuesday & Wednesday. Yippee for all of our progress this year!!

I have no memory of being in this thread, haha.
I did try to do the number of things per the date thing, in June, in an out of order but still diligent way. I made it 20 days in a row so I imagine that was about 300 things in 1 month. today I got ridof 17 magaznes and 7books. 2 days ago I got rid of 10 books. I was pokng at clothes and other items earlir this month.
probably not near 2014, though. who knows.
I reduced the amount of things brought in, this year. Cmpared to 2 and 3 years ago especially. Those were acquiring years.
Im supposed to do another 30day challenge starting the 1st. I guess I could log it on the 2015 out thread, if that is interesting to others.
I'm happy to have such pleasant people I know I can come share with and read their efforts.
