Benefits of weeding out my vlothes is that I wore a new jacket today. Bought it so long ago and finally wore it today.
I am finding clothes don't fit or feel right. But I was keeping them cause I thought I needed them. I finally decided to let them go and replace with something that fits right. Prime example is a black cardigsn. It is not the most flattering for. I need to let it go do that the universe will let me find one that does flatter me a little bit more.
Home alone tonight. ... Wahoo

I bag of regular household trash ready to go out. 3 bags of trash from outside the house. Empty potting soil bags, broken pottery, and other odds and ends that were cluttering up the yard.

I'm out of steam today. Had been planning on bagging up some low-hanging fruit in the garage, but that's not going to happen. Since I've been doing a bag on Sundays too ...and that was not required... I think I'll use one of my unused Sunday dispensation cards today.

Good Work Everyone
Successful day. Sorted through more books in the garage -- 85 books -- doubled up tonight because DD and DS have a track meet tomorrow. WOOT WOOT I have something done in advance.
In the classroom I have sorted through all of my folders put them in piles by "Lesson Plan", "Teacher Stuff", Project Files, Homecoming and Academic Awards. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This was my post tonight on Facebook:
"36 days, 36 bags. I cleaned off all of the papers that were on my bed, and made the bed. More of an ordeal than it may sound."
It didn't take me long to get this done, but it was extremely stressful. I don't have places yet to put some things, or the places to put them aren't in shape to accept them. My house would be cramped for the most minimalist and spartan occupant, and the mess I've created is quite a bit to dig out from under. There are decisions to make I'm not sure how to make yet, and it makes me anxious.
The short version is this: I don't have a bedside table, and nowhere to put one if I did, and I still have no idea what to do about it. I get stressed because I don't want to put my notebooks, etc on the floor, but then I have no where to put them, really.
Ugh.
In any case, my bed has sheets on it for the first time in probably at least a year, and that's something. Sorry for the stream of consciousness rant.

Hi robnoxious. I have feelings of anxiety too when trying to figure what to do with stuff. One thing I can suggest is to have your notebooks in a reuseable shopping bag. I use them a lot for organizing stuff in the middle of dealing with clutter.you can kind of use them as a substitute for drawers. They are great for containing papers if you don't have anywhere to put them. You can pick them up and carry them around easily. They don't take up much room. You can get some nice colourful ones hopefully at a store near you for 99 cents or so. Excellent news about your sheets! And thanks for sharing your thoughts. Rant away!

Shredded some mail.
Little things add up.

Emmy, I'm so glad you joined this thread!
Rob, Serendipity's idea about the shopping bags is a good one, and you can install some hooks on your wall to hold them. Or, if you have some extra money to spend, how about wall files?

I ended up doing more than I had planned today. One thing just let to another. Main thing after clearing away things from in front of a large window, was that the window was fully accessible. So I dusted and vacuumed the miniblinds. And then with a single edge razor blade, removed the very old tint film covering the window, and the adhesive that stuck it down. What a pain. Then washed the inside of the window. The peeled film (mostly in curls) filled a box.

37 bags in 37 days. Big bag of trash from under my bed.
A shopping bag for my bedside notebooks may be a partial solution. Definitely worth a try. There's really no good place for hooks or wall files, relative to my bed, however.
(Extra money to spend. Hilarious.)

Aha Rob, so you have an 'under the bed' space. That could be where to keep your notebooks, in either a bought underbed box, or a made one - a cut down cardboard box, maybe with a rope handle made by making a hole in the end of the box and tying a knot on either side of the cardboard - you get the idea - I have used lots of those A4 size boxes that reams of office paper come in, in the past, they can be cut down to a shallower depth if need be and are pretty sturdy. Or you might not feel the need for a lid on the box, as it will be under the bed. That would keep them handy but contained! My own bed is flat on the floor, sometimes I feel rather envious of people with potential underbed storage, , it can be a good place to keep off season blankets, spare sheets etc - it isn't only for dustbunnies and lost socks!
