Alphabetized "Teacher Stuff Folders" -- By the end of the school year (June) I may actually have my classroom squalor free which is a goal I have been working towards for 17 years.
When I started teaching I inherited "stuff" from previous teacher. Then when I moved into a new room 4 years later I inherited all of that teachers "stuff" -- 40 year veteran teacher (lots of stuff). I have purged over the years but it is almost organized.
40 day 40 bag challenge is GREAT.

38 bags Rob! It is obvious that working with - or competing against - people helps many posters to get going and keep going. Support and encouragement instead of criticism helps too. Having a target of 40 bags seems to be working well.
Getting rubbish out does not involve making decisions, when it is not stuff that could be recycled, donated or sold. This is a no-brainer stage. What comes next? The goal to aim for is having a suitable place for everything and putting everything in its place, and to maintain the areas. This is where many decisions need to be made. This is where other people can help even more: dealing with others' problems can be much easier than dealing with our own.

It's the week end, and I don't have to go anywhere!!!!!! (I've been busy most weekends for weeks and weeks). I'm declaring my intention to catch up, if not completely, then significantly.
I may end up "cheating" and counting bags of laundry taken to the laundro mat as "out" even though they come back in, because I'm very behind on laundry and it won't be bags of dirty laundry coming back in! if I put the laundry away, its sort of gone, right? (say right or else).

puppybox, Yay for getting dirty laundry out! Today I went out and raked up two large trash can's full of leaves and dumped them where I want to compost them. I could probably fill that can 10 times, but ran out of steam. I'll do some more tomorrow. Next I want to fill a bag in my living room area. There is a pile of papers there and some trash scattered around. I'll be back to post an update.

Today I filled the large trash container with leaves and dumped it in the compost pile, X2. There's a lot more left to do.
Yesterday and today I went through some papers and picked up and tossed some random trash. I wasn't overly productive, but some papers were shredded and some were tossed. I still need to deal with some of them. I have a tendency to shuffle papers from one pile to another and I need to stop doing that.

My challenge today was to fill (pack) the triple green can with weeds from the front yard. Which I did. It took two rounds, about 3 hours total. Nice day here, so it was quite pleasant.

Got back from vacation super late Friday night. Today I was working on our laundry and did a quick purge of items from several closets as I put away. Filled up one bag with clothes too small for people and girls dress up costumes. Almost all is good to donate, just a couple things didn't make the cut and I trashed. 1 bag filled.
3 out of 40
