Another solid night of sleep, 10:30-ish to 7:00-ish. But I'm a bit low-energy, sleepy today. Shrug, who knows why. It's 2:30 in the afternoon and I'm looking forward to bed tonight.

I usually go to bed around 11 pm, reading a fiction paperback. I usually sleep like a log and wake up without an alarm around 6 or 6:30. Last week I dreamed that I gave birth to a baby girl. I'm in my mid-50s!

angela = the pillow in front of me method was suggested to me too to support my top shoulder, however - I find a heap of 2 teddies/stuffies cuddled does the same job. Lara - I used a torch lantern when I was away. hung blanket and towel so the light wouldn't annoy anyone else (I hoped) Lantern has a brightness knob and I like that so its not too bright. My bedside has an easy reach lamp. loving that. Wishing I'd gottern the yellowy light bulbs. last night bed at 11.45, light out 12, not straight to sleep, in and out of sleep this morning. rose at 7. I need to go to bed earlier when I have earlier morning starts. I've been resting/ sleeping for an hour at least, many days - in the afternoon. Seems like practice sleeping is helping with some of my sleep deficiency.

Last night in bed by 10:30 or 11, awake at 5 (before alarm), up at 8. What's with laying around in bed so long? It feels good but then I'm not too happy with getting up late. Stayed up to watch the news, there was something I really wanted to see on it. Oh and then got caught up in playing Plants vs. Zombies. Really? I'm in my sixties. But it's fun. I had cued up a nice relaxing evening podcast on my smartphone but I went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I never turned it on. I also didn't get my CPAP on. That may contribute to needing more bed time but not sleeping well. I did get a new mask and other "plastics." But they sent the wrong humidifier chamber! I cleaned out the old one really well so I can use that for a little while. But I have emailed them twice about it and gotten no reply so I guess I will have to call them and spend an hour on hold with customer service, argh. Even when I clean the chamber regularly, there are some little spaces that I just can't get into and they look pretty gross. I wonder if bleach would hurt it?

shabbychic - maybe vinegar and baking soda? or peroxide? Would that bubble out the nasty little places? I don't know what would damage that plastic, so be careful with my suggestions …

shappychick Laurataylor is right about the vinegar , warm it don't breath in the fumes and let it it for a few hours. Its an acid , it will not hurt the plastic but it will dissolve the mineral build up.
I use it on my humidifier all the time.

shabbychic I did laugh about your game. Hope you can get your CPAP on tonight and that it helps you feel rested. I think it's great that you have that now. wynken it sounds like your sleep discipline is pretty good right now. I slept with the pillow under my arm last night and it helped. Did anybody else get awakened by a rooster in their bathroom? Nobody? My chicken alarm clock woke me a hair before 7. That's when the light starts showing up in the morning. So I woke and stayed in bed until my alarm at 7:30 and had some good kitty snuggle time. I collapsed in bed last night and had lights out a little after 10:30. I was a little wound up so I didn't fall asleep immediately but I think I did before 11.

wynken, silly dog. Sorry it interrupted your sleep. 10 minutes to 10 here now, I'm going to dive under the covers as soon I finish posts here. Yawn. Over the last couple of years as I have learned to be more tuned into those things that trigger difficult emotions for me, one thing I have learned is that I grit my teeth and hold my breath when I'm stressed or too tired. So, as I am gritting my teeth, I am going to lay down and play my meditation podcast. Oh and probably wake up to a chicken crowing in my bathroom!

Did anybody else get awakened by a rooster in their bathroom? Nobody? loll Not *last* night … hmm … actually no, NEVER. Got to bed a bit late (teens here) but went right to sleep, and woke up around 9:00 I think. I didn't have my phone in my room, so didn't hear my alarm.

lostchild - almost right around the clock! and you really needed that. wynken and Dit - sounds like you guys are pretty on-target … I think I went to bed around 1:00, and got up around 9:00. Not as bad as it could be, but I can't keep sliding in that direction!
