I got myself too emotional on Friday and stayed up too late zoning out on internet reading, posts here and elsewhere. So I think lights out after midnight. I woke at a usual time (7:30 ish) but allowed myself to go back to sleep and didn't actually rise until about 10:00.
Last night I tried to settle down a bit earlier as I wanted to get up earlier and do my chores before I went to church since I had to go to work right after church.
So awake at 6:30 this morning and late to both church and work but got the critters their hay and water, myself a breakfast at least.

I know I got the lights out right around 10. A text from a friend woke me at 11: 15 or so then another wake-up at 4:30 from being hungry (I didn't have supper last night, noodles and eggs though...).
Grace kitty was pinned to my side throughout the night so I had a bit of a sweat.
Had set my alarm for 7:00 and got out of bed around 7:30.
I'll just keep being as consistent as possible on my end and hope whatever is causing so many fluctuations will settle down eventually.

I was so tired today being my off day I got up by 6 and made breakfast and lunch for son's friend who stayed over. I then put him on bus to disabled workshop, then got son on his bus and then exhubby took daughter to class. I then laid down till 11 when friend came by to pick up money I owed him.
He took me to get change and snack. I ate two chicken wings. I then did dishes and two loads so gar of blankets rugs, and towels. Cleaned in son's room to keep up on mess. Did dishes and finally roast was done in slow cooker after almost twenty hours...you heard me...it was a big roast.
Ex hubby came and got curtains hung up in son's room. They darken and keep the room warmer. I have started big project for class and am already exhausted. It is power point presentation due by Sunday...Tuesday at latest per teacher...mine will be late. I have to leave town Saturday.
I am keeping up.House is staying neat. Dishes done every other day along with kitty litter...three pans. At school picking up daughter and getting her Subway sandwich then back to homework assignment. At 6 dinner and getting ready for work. My off days are Monday and Thursday this week.
After I finish big chunk of assignment I am going to mop floors and get as much laundry as possible put away. Trying best. Next offday I see my grandson...yay!

I'm doing rather badly in terms of bedtimes and wakeup times. But I need to keep checking in here, and keep my eyes on the prize.
Once again, I turned off my alarm at 6:00, went back to sleep, and let DH take DD to school. I may need to do an all-nighter to snap myself back on schedule. I thought about doing that last night, but I was reading in bed with a flashlight, and that is NOT a good situation for staying awake when drowsiness hits--which of course is the reason I do that. I'll have to do something different to pull an all-nighter.

Ugh larataylor I hope you can find a solution besides an all nighter, makes me queasy to think of it as I have done that myself as a reset though it has been many years now. lostchild it sounds like you are doing well keeping to a good schedule. wynken that sounds like another thing that needs a tweak though you have been doing so well so far. I have been lights out around 10:30 quite consistently though I don't always fall asleep right away and my wake ups are sometimes late, like this morning at 8:30.

This morning was better! I didn't get much sleep, but woke up at 6:00 and drove DD to school this morning.

I woke at 6 too Lara. Better than 5. Hoping you can stay awake as / if that helps you to get ready to sleep at at a better time tonight. Personally - when I am hugely sleep deprived, an afternoon nap helps me remember how to relax and sleep at night.
Last night - got enmeshed in the web, looking up future life possibilities & locations. So late. lights out was 12.15 without a book. just quick shallow bath, teeth and lights out. Sleep took a little while.

Good get-up times larataylor and wynken. I've been a little bit out of whack with inconsistent get-ups. Last night, late lights out due to getting wound up at a church gathering. It was interesting to me though, to see my brain get so wound up and remembering that I used to live in that state most of the time. Mind on fire, and not in a good way. Up on time this morning for work but not enough sleep. Tonight a big wind storm is expected which makes me wildly anxious so I will have to employ special methods to wind down tonight.

angela - When I am in that wound up brain splattering everywhere place I need take the time I need before I get into bed if I expect to want to rest, perchance to sleep. Hoping your evenings can find the new normal that suits you soon. Once Christmas and new year are over, the special event season will be over at least. Last night 11pm I coulda, shoulda, orta been well on my way to bed. If not there already. I said goodnight to someone on chat, then instead of the computer going off like I'd just said would happen, I went looking at possible places to live, then googling, satilite view, then studied roof tops of where I and others live, street views also. After 12.30 finally I switched the sticky web off and brushed teeth, then to bed @1. guessing 5 hrs sleep. Up for tmeds @ 7.30 and back to bed. dozed to get the 8hrs rest. over decisions to make. What is needed - some self dicipline. And looking at things I want to play with at a more suitable time.

wynken I am starting my wind-down here at 8:30 by watching silly comfort TV, Andy Griffith. On one hand, I am excited to read that you are doing some research to start filling the well with ideas for a new, hopeful location and future for yourself. But I understand the frustration of the when... Because socializing activities seem to happen at night, I am having to choose to either be an at-home hermit again, or go participate with people and reap the consequences of late night bedtimes. It is more that I am trying for that consistent wake-up/get-up at 7:30 ish. When I move toward 8:30 for too long, then those days when I have to be to work at 10:00 are a real grind. Too, there is definitely something psychological about getting the morning basics done before noon. I feel more productive and competent. So it's worth it to me to keep some vigilance about turning off those lights. Tonight, I'm experiencing a lot of anxiety symptoms so I will do my best to work around it. This wind storm is supposed to be a big one with peak winds from 10 to 3 am.

angela I hope you were able to get some rest, and no wind damage. I am trying to focus on two things now - sleep and hydration. I am tired all the time lately. I went to bed a little before 9 - too sleepy to stay up. Woke up at 12, 3, and going to try for a nap now at 4:30. I seem to wake up about 5:30 - 5:45 no matter how much or little sleep I have.

I'm hoping to beat last nights 1am bed/lights out by a couple of hours tonight.

I ignored my alarms this morning, and finally got up to check out the trickling noise in the bathroom. The sink was overflowing, and it was already time to leave for school.
So, up at 7:30. This is the only accomplishment I can handle right now. It's just too cold to do anything. In fact, I may just go back to bed and read under my warm feather comforter.
Although, I really should work on the kitchen. Hot water and cooking could warm me up a bit. I just don't want to take my coat off to work. I think I have a wash load to put in the dryer … that could help.
