Where has this thread been all my life!? Big challenge for me - up till all hours then sleeping until noon. Futzing around on the computer way too long, then having a hard time getting to sleep.
I am going to try - electronics off by 11 - lights out by 12 - up by 9
Of course it is too late for that tonight! 12:25 in this part of the world.
But tomorrow!

I am going to be off schedule for a while. The baby hasn't quite adjusted yet. We are doing our overnights.

Hi bobolink and welcome. Night Owl in recovery here too. I'm going for my early night, early morning tonight so I can make it to church before going to work, which means breakfast for me and for the critters starting around 6:30 am. 9 pm here now and I'm tired enough so I think I'll go lay down.

I wrote too soon. Last night - lights out was 11, waking time at 3. Dozed a little after 6. Napped this afternoon. If I could chose the few hours I sleep - I prefer the longer block after 12pm.
What I hadn't attended to last night - shower and toilet last thing. Bathroom light was left on all night. Those things may have made a difference. I was also somewhat cold and like the princess and the pea, and goldilocks, I need everything to be just right.

Laid down good and early, listened to podcast. Fell asleep but woke with a nightmare about 3:30. Took a bit to fall back asleep. Woke to alarm at 6:30 but dozed until 7:30. Got everything done except going to church.

angela - there will be another church service - next week perhaps? so you can get there if you keep up the intention, action will catch up as you catch up and rest as needed. It took me ages to get the morning church service action happening. That was a big part of my wanting to address my bedtime/sleep issues. last night. Did more work in the evening than I normally do. lights out just before 12. I'd been awake a while before 5. b46 weestop and tmeds, boxed next lot, put on breakfast, turned it off and went back to bed - that lot was 15 min. Later - Did readings , allowed meditation spaces, and prayer written in bed. Up about 7.15ish If I can siesta after lunch I will.

Electronics off last night by 2230. Lights out by 2300, but couldn't fall asleep. Got up and did some mindless knitting instead of turning the computer back on. asleep by maybe 0130?
Awake by 0900. Up by 0920.
I count this as progress.

wynken yes there will be next week, and I won't be working on Sunday as far as I know. Your pre-bedtime activities last night sound really nice and relaxing. bobolink that is progress indeed. Good for you keeping the computer off and knitting. I do that myself.

8 pm here and I'm tired enough to lay down. I've got chamomile tea and hoping it will ease the potential nightmares and wake-ups. Listening to a local radio station that airs radio theatre programs in the evening. Simple entertainment that I can enjoy with my eyes closed

I slept from 10:30 till 5:30. That's the first all night sleep I've had in a long time. Feels pretty good!
