Uh oh, searching for another overdue library book, again! I really need to get on top of stuff so this doesn't keep happening. Library books are tough, because people take books all over the place to read them. I've pretty much given up on borrowing books because I'm too scatterbrained to get them back on time. Now that the house is at maintenance, and it's pretty easy to find things, I may try again. Maybe see if you can get people into the habit of a designated reading spot?

Not being able to find things I know I have drives me insane For me it is the thing that highlights all the issues of having too much stuff and/or not having that stuff under control. Next level is when I have to go buy another one of the thing I know I already have. It's frustrating in itself and adding to the problem. Usually I blame G - I have to be able to direct the rage somewhere. I am having trouble blaming him for the duster though. In all the years I've known him, I've never known him to dust

By the way, Since I can't find the regular hammer, or the ball peen hammer, I have been using the horseshoe hammer. Do I have horses? NO! Do I know how to put shoes on a horse? NO! Why is the a horseshoe hammer in my garage? My advice is, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Hiya larataylor , I am afraid that I am the 'people' that keep leaving books in the oddest places. I do try to keep library books corralled, but they tend to migrate all over the house.
I love having access to lots of new and different books. Also, I find it really hard to let books go & DH has the same issue, but with different books to me. So, even though the library causes me some angst, overall it is better than me bringing more & more books into the house.
I have been having extra difficulty with lost books recently because we have had 3 lots of house guests since November. In my prep stage I get into the manic, stash it anywhere it will fit mode. Good news though - I found the book last night and it is up the front ready to go back to the library. My library has an excellent grace period before fines start, and the book is not overdue until tomorrow, so all is good.

Why is the a horseshoe hammer in my garage? So, do you have the rest of the horseshoeing tools? A hoof knife, hoof trimmers, nail biters and a clenching iron? Don't forget the hoof pick and rasp!

I wonder if some small GPS tracking device would be useful? Could be a gap in the market for a new invention.

I wonder if some small GPS tracking device would be useful? Could be a gap in the market for a new invention. The technology is totally here … we just need people to bring it to market and make the price reasonable. Perhaps a device could be mounted on the wall, so it couldn't go missing … and then tiny adhesive trackers could be attached to different items.

So there is a key ring with an alarm that works like "The Clapper" but when you whistle it beeps. So put one on the end of your favorite book mark and all you need do is whistle and you book will beep back at you. chadow

I made a space for xrays from last 18mths - bagged and hanging from hook on wardrobe door. Now if only I knew the really good place where the rest of them are.
