I am taking a lunch break. I could barely fit into my suit this morning - thank goodness for control top pantyhose!
I am halfway through my list of to do's for the am....this will be a quick lunch for sure.

chocolatetruffle, I'm having a hard time getting going today, too. It's good of you to look after your neighbor. I'll bet she really appreciates it. I haven't done anything on my list yet except get my electric payment ready. I did write a letter to my sister and that's ready to mail, too. DIANE, I forgot to tell you, I've recently been trying out different weather sites and I like 'Intellicast.' Let me know if you like it. I also use NOAA.

Hello work-alongers!
I'm home from my sister's house and have had lunch. I have just one dog walk in an hour. The weather is WONDERFUL--at the hottest point of the day you could feel a little bit of heat from the sun, the rest of the day there has been a cool breeze and right now the air coming in my window is actually chilly--I know I keep saying this, but I feel like a different person.
I will do PEEPing now in the hour I have left before going out.

Hi everybody! Diane, yes I am very grateful to be using a trainer. Having done physical therapy in the past I thought, hoped, that this would be about the same and it is. I am extremely grateful for that. I pay out of pocket for my medical expenses, namely my back, they call it a pre-existing condition. In the past when I could afford it I did physical therapy. This is actually cheaper. Plus, I can go in on other days and do things once I learn how and am stronger. The day I returned home from Russia, we returned the rental car I used to get home from the airport. My mom was driving and a car cut in front of us. She did not have time to stop. The main injury for me was my right shoulder. I did go see a chiropractor, but the hospital took the lion's share from my ER visit. So, we never did any physical therapy for my shoulder.
What I like about the trainer is that I have to be there because I have an appointment. There is no: "I'll go tomorrow." So, that's good. I would really like to correct my posture, get stronger, and be more functional. She is easing me into this which is also good. I am really not all that sore today so I am pleased with that. As I cut down on my sugar consumption, I will lose weight.
I am truly hoping with all my heart that there is going to be something wonderful come from all of this effort, like a life. Today all I did was fill garbage bags, 3 of them. Big black ones. I found some stuff like old calenders, and some other stuff that I just got rid of.

I took lunch to my neighbor, discovered there were no roasting chickens in the freezer and so figured out plan B for tomorrow night's dinner, and spent the afternoon doing research for a work project. This evening, I might - PEEP here and there - help DH repair some drywall holes - start tackling the mess in my closet Or, I might sit on the couch and catch up on Poldark episodes.

Sue, I do have Intellicast and Accuweather on my bookmarks, I just usually went to the Weather Channel for my first choice--but besides the weird forecasts, I was also getting tired of their melodramatic headlines. It was always something like "this situation will get really dire!!" so then you're supposed to click to read the story. Well, if MY weather is going to be dire, I really need you to tell me NOW instead of giving me a teaser headline. They always get a little too cheery when there's a killer tornado spotted. I did nothing tonight. Really, nothing, except taking care of the animals and making food to eat. I always get so tired after visiting my sister, kind of stressed. I must say though, my dog walk tonight was amazingly wonderful with the COOL weather. Tonight is the first day that it felt like fall was coming--there's just a change in the air--not just cooler, but dryer and there's a fall smell too. There were even some dead leaves under some of the trees. It's going to get hot again at the weekend but there should be a couple more days of this cooler temp. Tomorrow is a moderate day work-wise, then the following two are light, so I will catch up with what I did not do today. Good night, and see you all tomorrow. Diane

Keep warm! chocolatetruffle - I hope your work project goes well. dtesposito - I hope your visit with your sister went well. I'm glad your walk with the dog was in lovely cool weather! How refreshing!

Good Wednesday Morning everyone!
We had some storms blow through yesterday and the humidity let up last night. Today was clear and sunny and a little cool when I left for the bus.
I did absolutely NOTHING last night! I had a big kick off meeting with other state agencies and our new banking partner for our projects. Some of the people live near by sister and one will be involved with her husband in their Live United campaign. Some of us went out last night as the contract process was grueling....and my supervisor has gotten to be friends with someone in another agency....and he thought we should all go out. I guess he now has a work girlfriend! I took the bus home which was WONDERFUL....but it was a little darker than I anticipated when I arrived at the commuter lot. It is a small lot next to a McDonalds - and I had my pointy umbrella - so I just darted across the street and got into the car.
So back on track today for me!
I have to contact counties, update charts and get 30 cases in the final prep. (88 by friday - so 30/30/28) After work - go to the apartment and haul out some trash. I have to do this every week.
Diane - about how long do you actually walk with the dogs when you walk them? I think this is great - I wish you lived closer and could walk mine mid-day for me....
OK - time to check a couple of other threads then back at it for me.
have a wonderful day everyone! Then after work I have to
