Who has 2017 items they could easily throw away.? I have never tried to count all the stuff. It seems like a great number. Today was general trash with 4 or 5 extra thrown in. Over 100 now since the new year.

Very busy week, had to drive 780 kilometres (about 484 miles) return trip to take my non driving sister to medical appointments but still managed to find a little left over energy to get rid of another 48 items after starting to give my kitchen a deep clean. .
About 18 months ago I thoroughly de-cluttered the kitchen and have managed (much to my surprised delight)to keep it that way. However last week I noticed that the shelves and drawers were getting a bit dusty, a little disorganised and the walls were very cobwebby. So far no signs of mice thank goodness, but living in the country it's either an infestation of mice or spiders and sometimes both. So now I am spending 30-45 minutes a day in 15 minute bursts tidying and wiping out shelves, drawers and walls. So far the only things I have found to throw out in two drawers and four shelves are three bread bag tags, one useless incense holder and one empty inhaler, plus $10.45 in small change, which has now been put in a jar - Will be interesting to see how much more small change I will find before the end of 2017.
As for the other 43 items, the usual weekly accumulation of receipts, junk mail, and shopping lists mainly from the car...hmmm...what can I learn from that?

I'm in. I'm not going to count anything until it's gone to the dumpsters (or Goodwill), though, since taking out my trash and recycling is probably my hardest cleaning problem.
I'm very inspired by those of you who've already started! Some great lists here.
