Shredded 10 papers & put 12 papers into recycle bag. These papers were all 2016. They were from the Dining Room Table. I'm starting to see a little of the table, now.
From my bedroom - Next to my bed-- Put tissue from gift box into recycle bag.
From Entry Hall - Put packing paper in recycle bag
From Den - Tossed empty bottle of DH's cough medicine that's been sitting on the breakfast bar for a few weeks. Yuck! Also, 67 papers put in recycle bag from TV Table, and 18 papers shredded from TV Table. All these were 2016 & 2017 papers.
Put zip bag & a piece of trash in the trash. From Dining Room Table.
Tossed nearly empty bottle of Egg Nog that had gone bad.
From front bathroom closet - Tossed bottle of Calamine that expired in 2012
From Office of Doom - Put 1 hanger in trash. Also, put plastic bag from dry cleaners into trash.
5 bags of trash to outside can
3 bags of recyclable bottles/cans/jars to outside can 3 bags of papers/catalogs/sm. boxes/other paper type stuff to outside can
Subtotal = 127
Total = 408

I seem to think that plastic peanut butter, pickle & mayo jars and coffee cans need to be saved . . . imamess I seem to have the same problem with saving containers - bottles, jars, carboard boxes, plastic bottles, bags. I am also trying to slowly throw them out, a few a time seems to be easier for me. Regarding *plastic* jars & containers, it helps me to remember that plastic breaks down and degrades, and will eventually leach into whatever is kept in the container. Ugh, how I hate the yucky taste of anything that's been in plastic for too long! It's best to send plastic items for recycling. If one is going to keep anything, it should be glass, which can be sanitized.

Oh, I don't save the plastic jars for food storage, I save them for workshop use, like sorting nails and screws into different sizes plus the nails & screws won't rust in the closed containers. I might store a homemade horse medicine in one, drill holes in a lid to sprinkle pesticide dust I, n the garden, use a coffee can as a feed scoop, etc. They are just handy for this dd of depression era parents & grandparents.

Hi. A good chunk out from purging the shelves in my linen closet. Tossed or recycled 49 items. A mix of old toiletries, cosmetics, cleaning, lotions, first aid things. Also some linens and a few odd items.

Everyone is doing so well.
Not an exact count but close to 100 so far. i went in a closet and worked for an hour. Shredded some old paperwork i also have been doing general tidy ups. I have never done general tidying really. I always throw things away when i do this. It takes at least 20 minutes, maybe why i never did it?
