Diane, my kids don't have spring break around Easter. Maybe your clients' kids are on spring break.
I'm done for the night. Going to watch a movie, and then go to bed. Young Frankenstein is on the screen tonight. Haven't seen that one in years.
Goodnight, everyone. Thanks for working along with me.

Goodnight Pamela, Diane, Ohblondie, Chris, Magda and my other friends in lands far away. It is about 2.45 pm here so a quick post before I pick my boys up from school. I enjoy hearing about your weather, daylight savings, snow days (unheard of here, it doesn't snow where I am), and shovelling paths. Daylight savings ends here in a couple of weeks and it is early autumn, but summer shows no sign of moving on at the moment. It's nice to feel connected to people in other parts of the world.
I am very excited. My nephew came and fixed my front door. It opens and closes! And I can even lock it! It's such a simple thing but it has been driving me out of my tiny mind.
Aside from that I've been to the supermarket (again). Too much time on my hands when not working means I pop in there almost every day after I drop the boys off at school to pick up something I've forgotten and then buy 10 other things. It is costing a fortune so have to stop it and do a proper weekly shop with a list.
I also made a list of activities that need to be done daily, weekly and monthly to keep this household and the people in it running smoothly (inspired by you Pamela).
I then looked at the list of daily activities and thought I'd better do some of them so have done a few things around the house and the dining area, in particular is looking a lot better. (Because clearing the table daily so we can eat there was on the list).
I am starting to feel like I am really getting somewhere now so fingers crossed I can keep things going. The next repair job is my oven which hasn't worked about 18 months. I don't think there's much wrong with it but I can't fix it myself so need to get someone in. My goal is to get that done next week.
With regard to my neighbour, he hasn't moved his car or anything else as yet. I am going to go out there later and take some photos of what some of the issues are and I think I won't wait too long now before following up with his landlord. It is the sort of thing where if he talks to his landlord about it, he can make it sound reasonable, but if I show them what he's doing I don't think anyone would really think it's reasonable. Aside from anything else, his gate blocks rear access to my property so in the event of a fire or emergency, if we had to leave the house by the back door, we'd be trapped in our tiny rear courtyard.
Pamela it's interesting that one of your boys is more interested in doing jobs and helping out than the other. Mine are the same. It's actually my younger son, the 5yo, who is very helpful, and the 9yo always becomes suddenly too tired, or too sick, or develops a headache or some other excuse if I ask him for help. I don't really understand it and I find it really frustrating some times. In setting up some lists of daily tasks, I hope to get him into more of a routine of doing tasks around the house as well as myself.
Diane, I hope your feet feel better soon. I find that I have to wear really good supportive footwear or else I get symptoms of plantar fasciitis. I hadn't had any trouble with it for a long time, but have had problems lately. I think it's because I'm on leave, and its been a hot summer, so I have been wandering around the house in bare feet or thongs (flip flops? I know that in some places thongs are underwear but here they're footwear) a lot of the time. I have had to go back to wearing solid shoes even though they make me too hot.
Better go get the boys. It's Friday here so I will have them home tomorrow but I will jump on here again tomorrow and work along with you until you make it to the weekend. There is no cricket tonight and I am really happy that we will have one Friday evening at home. Next Friday we will be back into Friday night sport with footy training. Can't believe there's only one free week between the end of cricket season and the start of footy.
Sorry for writing a novel. I love writing and sometimes once I start I can't stop.

Good morning! I'm happy because I get to stay home until 4:30. I decided against the far away grocery store, although at some point today I will probably go to the closer store for a few items. Haywire, it sounds like you're making progress in your plans for a daily routine. The key is to not make it too elaborate, and to not get discouraged if you can't keep up with it every day. In other words, the first day you don't do the routine, don't think that you've ruined the attempt and it's over. The goal is to do as much of the daily routine as you can on any given day, to know you won't do it all every day, and there will be some days you can't do any of it! But that over time, if you keep trying, more will become habit and your home will be way better off than it would be with no effort at a routine at all. Good morning & good day to all ... I know some people are in different time zones!!! Happy Friday!!!! Well I am up and dressed to mow the back yard! To Do: eat breakfast get outside and mow shower and put on decent clothes read chapter and prepare for livestream call mom livestream work on special journal project Well there is a lot more ... but I want to get my breakfast eatten. I'm getting a late start. We want the grass to dry but I think it is because of the really nice breeze we have this morning. As soon as I eat, I will go out and check. DH said he would do the mowing but I'm not comfortable with him doing both the weed eating and mowing. He has had more of that pressure (mysterious - several trips to the doctor and several tests of his heart and even swallow tests has turned up nothing). It's not like him though so I want to be sure he doesn't overdo. At least while I am here and can help. Wishing everyone a productive and good day!!!!!!!!! I had terrible cravings for ikky food last night but I ate strawberries instead. It was a weird experience to be able to not give in to the cravings even though there were danger foods in the house. I had just participated in a tapping class (online) EFT type and it was about cravings -- I am still amazed it worked -- I got to a place where I accepted deeply that I wanted the chocolate and the icecream but I was able to make a healthier choice.

Good morning Chris, and congratulations on resisting your cravings! That's something I absolutely can't do if the food is in the house. If it means going and buying something I can sometimes resist, but once I have it, I eat it, right away--there's no having a tiny portion once a day and making it last a long time. So I've learned keeping things out of here is my only hope. And I can't always do that, either!

Happy st Patrick's day! WTG haywire! Ohblondie no snow for us this weekend !!! Yesterday I did the usual. Did dinner dishes. Cleaned litter. Helped dd study I also worked in my consignment sale -did not plan well - i have a lot to do. I have identified two bins of clothes . Washed dried and folded one bin. Need to do the same to second bin. But now I have to create tags which is labor intensive. I also have to print them out and cut them and pin them and hang all clothes. Lots of work!!! I find it very hard to part w dd clothes ! Making money helps My Lenten challenge is getting harder. I am donating only my clothes. All the easy stuff is out! ( I had been purging prior to the challenge too ). Now it is the stuff that I love but does not fit but has great memories. Or stuff that fits but I don't like but was $$$&. I will keep going ! 25 days to go i definitely have extra clothes that can go . But i am not a big shopper or clothes hoarder. Once someone here posted their thrift shop clothes purchased for one trip and it was well half of my working wardrobe! So this is hard. When I am done I think I will have a very purged down wardrobe A t work still have some more rush jobs left over from missing work due to weather. So busy .

Good afternoon, everyone. After I picked up G from school, I took the car to the shop. Repairs will be about $425. Yikes! But, at least I'll be able to drive my own car back to my hometown for an event. Speaking of which, I won't be on tomorrow most likely. I may pop in in the morning or late in the evening, but probably not. I hope this day off won't make everything fall apart.
Done: Everything I said I would Car to shop Picked up groceries I couldn't get at Walmart Started dinner: corned beef and cabbage
Next up: Breakfast dishes to dw Clean off surfaces Wipe down surfaces Sweep kitchen
