I'm having a very productive day. I'm in a patch of non-sentimental, 'new' clutter, so its relatively easy to decide what goes or stays. I'm freeing up a nice corner in my laundry room/extra bedroom. And it's still the middle of the day here.
Thus far out of the house, sm/med bags:
6 bags recycling - and now my large bin is full. Too bad, there is more I have collected 5 bags trash, which includes 2 projects that will never be worked on again.
28 + 11 = 39/365
This does not count new donations that are not yet out of the house.

It's the weekend and I've sort of fallen off the purge train. I needed a few days off to regroup and remotivate myself. Also, roommate is home. How many others really don't want to purge when others are watching? I feel implied criticism even when none exists any more. Memories of past embarrassments, I guess. I still feel the need to hide my perceived failures.

I get that, Di. It can be a real thing. My decluttering client's houseguest was watching, and she made a comment that was on the surface encouraging, but the undercurrent was judgemental. I instinctively protected my client and gently told her she wasn't allowed to comment. She was sensitive enough to be embarrassed. My client was relieved, and said "yeah, no comments from the peanut gallery."
I am not gonna try and count, I got too many other things I'm barely keeping track of, !
But I do want credit for getting stuff out of the house, especially as I really need to make as much room as possible for stuff that is coming in, shortly! And I am also doing as much consolidation as I can, in the process.
In a way, I have the same deadline that I did last year, as I am going back to CA to get the rest of my stuff on the same timeline. My subletter is going on the same business trip, so will be gone for a week. But I am leaving my GA house on the 22--ten days--so this place has to be ready to receive by then. BetsyMarie's threads have gotten me going!
a vanload of recycling packed up--the local place has opened back up, yay (some shenanigans were afoot) two bins to the computer recycling three plus bins to donation one bin and a bag to consignment a belt, some earrings and a necklace gifted a dress, an earrings and necklace set and something else I forgot gifted mismatched hangers given to client my hanging clothing gone through with my color cards and a lot of stuff pulled to be sorted when I get back a list of things begun to bring back to CA some pens on that list pulled

2 more bags of trash - bins totally full, pick up in the morning. I might be able to top off the neighbor's later.
39 + 2 = 41/365
edit: bags into the neighbor's bins
5 recycling, and 4 trash = 9
50/365
edit - 2 more for 52

I started sorting out books, right now there is just a pile in the living room, I will finish that bookcase and start on the one in my bedroom before I count them.

Look at those numbers adding up! everypony! Last night I did some sorting, organizing and stowing of stuff to be sold and/or consigned when I get back from CA, and also packed up quite a few purses and some jewelry to take to a friend I will see tonight. I've also pulled a surprising large number of makeup items when I did a strict color assessment, many of which might suit her. "mineral" powder stuff that doesn't expire. Still need to pack that up this morning. I'm loving the empty spaces that are starting to show up!

I'm loving the empty spaces that are starting to show up! Isnt it great? In my laundry room, I spent a lot of time going thru things, sorting, moving furniture.. and now when I walk in the room I am shocked how open it appears. There is still a massive mess in there, but things are changing.. for the better. This morning is trash pick up day. 'Bags out' already claimed above, but when I think of how much went out just this week, it equals about 4 full trash cans of 'stuff'. And this does not count the things now in the donate pile! Onward!

Wheelie bin was VERY HEAVY!!!! I was trying to get it on wheels so I held onto handle and kicked the bin to get it to where I could pull it. Unfortunately, I landed on my butt with a heavy wheelie bin in my lap. I was most grateful that it was dark so the neighbors didn't witness my ignominy.
