Good morning scholar, thanks for starting the weekend thread! Ha--it's not quite fall here either, since they're predicting upper 80s for Tuesday and low 80s for the 3 days after. But tomorrow will be downright chilly, so a lovely taste of what is to come--that will deserve a leaf smiley! Mary, snow has been coming later and later here, not just recently but over the last 10 years, I would say. When I was child there was always lots of snow in December, I remember the very first time there was NOT a white Christmas, I was in my teens already and I was heartbroken. Now there might be one or two dustings of snow in December if we're lucky--most of it falls in January and February. The temperatures were also colder on average during the winter, because I remember walking up and down my block and having to be careful on certain sidewalks for months because there would be ice packed down on them. We would always be mad at the people who didn't shovel their snow the first time it fell in November, those sidewalks would stay frozen until spring. Now snow rarely sticks around for more than a week or so before the temperature rises enough to make it melt, at least on the sidewalks. Okay, enough reminiscing about the "good old days". Another weekend is here. Today is the day that I have one 5:30 walk, so I will work on my two projects so that I don't waste the day. I woke up today and after feeding the cats and getting dressed I took all the stuff out to the alley. The shelf cube from the plant room is in the dumpster, and there were two loads of garbage and recycling to take out. Then I put books into the little library and water under the tree. I didn't really need the water today since the high will be 75, I was mainly putting it there on really hot days because I felt sorry for the birds and squirrels. That's another thing that's changed--people here don't water their lawns nearly as much as they used to. Rising water costs, maybe, and some time restrictions on when people are supposed to water. I think it's a good thing to conserve water, but that means that there aren't sprinklers going everywhere so animals can get a drink. I'm going to make breakfast now. Diane

Good morning Diane and mylittlescholar and thanks for starting the thread Today we seem to be having a glorious early fall day I have no commitments today! I have plenty to do here. This weekend I would like to clean all the public areas of my house and do laundry I also need to work on the basement project with my do five things strategy. This side is harder- lots of DD toys and baby clothes. To get ready for the audit, I won’t be doing a major purge but go for organization and little purge. So far Fed cats Put away clean dishes Coffee I slept late but I actually feared I’d wake up even later. Girlcat and boycat were jumping around, playing and pouncing on each other. Cute!

Good morning magda, I'm guessing you won't have to worry about your audit, I'll bet your basement looks better than most! Everyone stores things in their basement, so I don't think there are a lot that have nothing in them but the mechanicals!
TO DO:
Clean up from breakfast Cat feeding Scoop litter pans 10 minutes on books

Last night I tossed in a load of laundry. I forgot about it, so I need to check it. I might have to rerinse it with vinegar in the water.
I got up, put up some campaign signs in the neighborhood for a friend. Went to church and learned a new crochet pattern. Now to make the lap robe/ prayer shawl. Just what I need, another distraction.
Came home and discovered DD's dog broke the lead he was on.
Got both dogs in the house to eat. I have to feed them separately.
I am trying to keep making progress in the LR. The removal of boxes and items here and there is adding up.
Ok. Time to get moving

A beautiful day today.
I don't have any pet sitting this weekend. I might go to Sam's club. Discovered big lots sells shower curtains And it close by. The smells have gone completely. Don't know what it was but today its feels fresh in here. Maybe it was to do with the summer heat, honestly don't know.
I could do a small project as everything is caught up. Need ideas for a project.
Oh, looks like I got 2 jobs out of the 3 quotes that I gave this week. Full price to, no haggle.

Diane I hope you are right. The “dd” side also has my washer and dryer and it tends to be a mess too- I hope to reclaim this area as part of this process. ohblondie I did the exact same thing. Had to re-wash a load I forgot about last night! I have done ... nothing! Well, I have been surfing around on my phone. Now the sweet weight of girlcat is on my lap and I hate to move her I better make a short list to get going Get ready Eat something Laundry Make bed Update checkbook Pay bills. Ok off to do that!

Ok. Got load hung to dry. Good thing I did it. I thought it was all donate stuff but I found my DD's baseball pants and shirt, a cami and jacket of mine along with the donate.
I cleared out more of the LR. I am literally picking things up and putting them away. Or in a donate box. I have enough books to get me thru the winter. Now that I also have crocheting to do.
I put the clean dishes away. There is a small amount in the sink to wash.
I am resting my feet. I am learning that is a thing. Then another load in the wash.
Off I go

The removal of boxes and items here and there is adding up. Oust, yay for new clients! And for no haggling! I've been working in the plant room--the long dresser is completely empty! It looks so weird in there, after having it piled high for 20 years...I still have things to find homes for--or to get rid of. So right now the room looks bad, but I need to keep going even though I'm down to the difficult decisions. I ordered the light! Diane

After stepping over the army uniform about 20 times, I finally took a good look at it. I decided to cut off the patches/buttons on it, figuring that would let me get rid of the rest of the uniform. Then of course, I had to look them up and see what they meant. Now the uniform is in a garbage bag in the dining room, at some point I'll be able to take it out to the dumpster. I also worked a little more on books in the bedroom. One more stack to go. In trying to let go of boxes I looked at how much those paper file boxes cost--so I could tell myself I could always buy more if I need them. Well, the cheapest ones are around $3.00 per box, which sounds high to me. So now I don't want to get rid of them... Which is silly, I shouldn't need them. I would never use a box like that to move, just to store things. And I am getting RID of things, not adding more things to store. So maybe I'll be able to let more go. Diane

Sigh. I just want to complain about the weather forecasters/website. I just checked the site and it says: Predicted High Today: 74. Current High: 79. Diane

Good afternoon, everypony!
had a good visit with M/S, took her to M's and did not buy anything, then took her to Target and did buy some food for lunch and a backpack for her that was 70% off. So pretty good.
Drove straight home and dozed. Got up and chilled and heated up leftovers.
Tonight, I want to video myself selecting my capsule, as I never have caught myself in the act. It usually happens in a matter of minutes, and when I am in the flow, I don't want to stop and start filming.
So I wanted to shower and do my hair and decided to clean the bathroom first. Did the sink, vanity, mirror, tub, bottom of the curtain, and mat. Yay me I'm glad that is over with.
I've put lotion on my face and gotten dressed. Need to dry my hair, then makeup.
Then lights, camera, action!

I went to my walk, it was comfortable--it didn't feel like 79. We met up with another dog and walker so had company.
Now I'm home and eating dinner, and then it will be time to get ready for bed.
I would love to finish the bedroom book sorting tonight, though.

I took out the water bottles for recycling and went for a 10 minute walk. Its 66 outside.
The new shower curtain is up and I like it. Looks like a tree in winter.$8 in big lots. Bargain I also got a L white Reebok t.shirt in Dicks sporting goods. $3.57 sale price. It's nice quality if they had more I would have got them all, but one is nice. Bargain shopping day was good but exhausted after. I was out 3 hours and the stores are big. I have a couple of old t shirts in mind to purge, 10 years old some of them.
Have another estimate tomorrow lunch time. Just a small job.just got a call. People call on Saturday night expecting to talk business. Times have changed
Crickets are out in force this evening. It's like music out on the balcony.
