Went to Walgreens on the way home from work. Spent way too long but got everything I needed. Mostly travel size items. Stuff rang up for more which is always aggravating & they won’t print out a receipt cause it’s on their app & they email it. The store clerk was super sweet. He called the manager about the over charge. Mgr tore off the pricing on their display of 2 items & said those prices were old. Hmmm. No dates& weren’t sale prices. Just their normal pricing but he said those prices were old. The Mgr really wasn’t nice. But he refunded anyway. No apology. It wasn’t the amount but rather than that they’re not printing the receipt. And I had already caught other wrong pricing when checking out & had to stop & show the nice young clerk the pricing on the shelf for another item. And usually I don’t get it until after I’ve left. I’d like to be able to rely on their app.
Bought Cole slaw from kfc on the way home.
DH went to Sam’s Club & put everything away. So sweet!
Anyhow, that was about it for me.
Yesterday, I was awakened at 3:45am by a very bad headache. It was gone in an hour or less after 2 Excedrin & stripping down. I had gotten really hot, too. My headaches have greatly decreased since I’ve been back on bp meds & my bp has been normal. When I took my bp this morning, it was elevated. That could be from the Excedrin I took. I admit to having skipped Saturday, too, tho.
Have a great day everyone! Cd

I think I slept better - I woke up with the blankets still pulled up - I never got hot during the night and with the fan on, the room felt cool. That should have been my first clue DH said he thinks the furnace is out - so I cleared a path to the thermostat and went to work when I left he was in bed under a blanket - not my problem today
I am at work and will leave mid-day to meet my dad at the local hospital for a medical procedure (swallowing test with a camera) I went to visit him last night and he was sound asleep and would not wake up I hung up some sweatpants for him and took his dirty clothes out to wash
Helped my mom shower and do a few things around the apartment Went home and put his clothes in the wash.
As I was getting my boots on this am - I noticed my son dropped off his work jeans so I will toss them in tonight.
Today will be a long day Work meet dad at hospital back to work 5pm meeting that I am running 6 pm meeting.
Good thing tomorrow is work from home!

Good morning cando and ohblondie!
It's 33 degrees already this morning, so, officially above freezing. That's good, because the yard last night was treacherous--the last 2 steps and the entire area around the porch was solid ice. I'm hoping it will be melted by the time the dog wants to go out.
Let's all have a productive Tuesday!

What can I say, after three days I've wrestled the kitchen almost back to functionality ((again)). 🙃 My basic aim since December has been "not to make things any worse" and anything else is a bonus, I'm currently "between fridges" thankfully it was easy enough last night to drag the old small fridge out and will take it to the dump tomorrow.. Which means it will mean I can physically get the new fridge inside in a couple days without having a delivery guy inside... Its not been great this winter, my dad's health is rocky and anxiety is kicking my butt, . Annnnywayyyyy .. Next up laundry to put away.✔ & Sprout some more seeds ✔ (it never ceases to amaze me that the tiny seedlings can turn into monster plants by the end of the year( ➖ a few bits of PEEP and reorganised the car bags. ➖one more lot of wash in the machine, to take advantage of one more windy day. Meal for tomorrow taken out the freezer and stashed in a cool box, thankfully the new fridge should be here on Thursday, I hadn't realised how much time refrigeration saves...Without it food either has to be prepared from fresh veg or taken from out of a can/freezer. It's another stormy night, looks like we're getting America's watered down second hand storms again (at least i blown away the frosts).
Not sure about tomorrow, depends if I get called in for a shift.

Hello decade! So you're without a fridge right now? Ugh, I don't know if I could do that--I hope you can get a new one soon. Sorry about your dad's health, when you're preoccupied with something like that it's hard to get things done.
It's time to feed the dog and take her out, hopefully the ice is gone from the porch and sidewalk. Then I will have lunch.

Tuesday! danny15 up to 66!! Is there a threat of flooding. We are in a gray day of 35 degrees, so warmish, and flurries off and on. I am so cold right now -- I am working at home for the afternoon, came home at lunch to let puppy out and give love to all. puppy is now sleeping in front of the glass door (screen door but no screen in it) and so the main wooden door is open. So I am wasting heat and I am cold. but she is sleeping so I do not want to disturb her!! very busy at work. so many projects underway. I feel so behind. I don't know if I could keep up unless I worked a few hours of overtime every day, and i Don't plan to do that. I have a few work things that I must get done -- send a bunch of important emails to get big project chugging along. review some stuff as prep for important meeting tomorrow. do a budget thing. today looked like a grim work day but Chaos is out sick so two meetings were canceled! otherwise I was in six meetings today! I only had four and they were each a half hour so not bad and they were pretty useful in moving work along. ohblondie what a busy day for you with work, your dad appt, and then two after hours meetings!! hope you can have a warm cozy night at home afterwards. right now I am going to start a load of laundry, put on some warmer clothes, and then do my tasks above. I had sadly entered a new phase of life in which more people I know are dying. I went to a classmate funeral right before Christmas, and two wakes last week, and today I found out that a cousin unexpectedly lost her husband. So much grief for these families. It was actually my first cousin once removed (which I think means a child of a first cousin) but she is about my age and she seemed to really adore her DH. oh good puppy moved, this pushover dog mom is gonna shut the door!

Good afternoon bree! Nice to be able to work at home this afternoon.
I had to use chat to find out about my order, it was marked as "delayed" for several days, and then when I checked the site yesterday it said "delivery attempted, returned to store." I don't know what that would mean, they always just leave the packages on the porch. So the chat person checked and said the order was marked "items lost within the delivery attempt." So now for the rest of the day I'll be imagining what that could possibly mean! They are giving me a refund, which means I will have to place another order for those items. I wish they would just reorder the items, because when you reorder you have to get to the free shipping amount again. But I guess I can always think of enough things for a Walmart order.

bree hopefully no furnace issues when I finally get home! And neither DH or I will be home tonight as we wait on the furnace guy I left over lunch to meet my dad for a swallowing test. He was pretty quiet but I chatted for him Now I am back at work trying to wrap up things for the day. I hate the thought of the furnace guy coming i the house. Usually he comes in the back door and through the kitchen but not sure about that tonight OK - time to work on a power point
