Good afternoon! The handyman finished early today, he's been gone for about half an hour and I'm eating lunch/dinner? now. Another really tiring day for me, I was working alongside him for a while, raking soil and using the twisty claw to break up some of it. I also did a little weeding, a little cutting down of branches, and filling up of water bottles. The yard waste can goes out tomorrow and it's filled to the brim, and very heavy.
The frame for the planter is done, he also drilled holes through the concrete under it to aid in drainage. I guess I had the impression that the concrete was too thick for that but apparently it was only 4 inches thick. It looks really nice. I ordered the load of soil to be delivered Thursday. That's the good thing--it was originally going to be Wednesday, but it's going to be quite cold that day so the handyman isn't coming back til Thursday--that means two days in between again, that makes me happy.
I saw several bees and butterflies in the yard today, as well as other insects since we were working with soil. I also got to pet my next door dog friend!
I'm extra sore today though--back and feet, so I will not be doing much else tonight. My knee felt pretty good for the short time I was kneeling on it so I think that will be fine going forward.

I just read back a little--thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
Danny, I'm so happy that you're taking advantage of your public library! That was a turning point for me, realizing how many books I could get through the reciprocal lending system, and knowing that I can take books out multiple times made it easier to not feel like I had to own them. And, if you should read a library book that is absolutely the best book you've ever read, THEN you can buy it!
The only things I've done in the last couple of hours is call my decluttering client, she didn't pick up so I left a message that we can talk tomorrow morning. And, walk around and make sure things are still decluttered.
Tonight will definitely be an early to bed night! My sleep has been better, I'm liking going to bed really early and waking up even earlier than the 6:00 alarm, and it's a good habit to get into since I'll have to work in the yard early once the weather gets hot.
Good night all, see you in the morning!

Hi Good People !!!
I did the dailies today and took out the trash. I washed a bunch of clothes which are in the dryer. I collated a lot of papers which will accompany me to the eldercare attorney next week. Shredded some papers.
My hope for you this week include contentment and getting things done in your homes.

Hello Catcats You do so well with your dailies and routines Diane sounds like your garden is going to be so nice to sit in when it warms up a little.
We cooked some breaded frozen chicken DH had made the wild rice to go with it so a nice easy meal
I folded a few dried clothes and turned on the fans when it got a little cooler. Supplements taken Went to work.

Good morning!
Oust, have a good day at work!
contentment and getting things done in your homes.
Catcats, "contentment" probably is the nicest thing we can have, and the nicest thing we can wish for anyone else. And sometimes getting things done in our homes can add to contentment.
I'm happy because I have two days before the next big yard work day. Today is a warmer but rainy day, tomorrow is a clear but cold day. I will have to take the mower out tomorrow to at least mow the grass strip by the alley since the dirt will be delivered there, and the handyman will have to shovel it up to put it in a wheelbarrow, so long grass will interfere with that. I also have to clear the area where the excess dirt will go, that's right inside the back fence, and it currently has chunks of "sod" with weeds in it that was removed during yesterday's work, plus some more mulberry tree branches that the handyman cut down. I can do that today since the rain isn't supposed to start until afternoon.
Wednesday night there's a possibility of frost, but the forecast for the week after that is warmer so I think starting Friday I might transplant a few of my seedlings outside, they are already in larger pots but outgrowing them.
Today is another day that my to-do list is long and intimidating, but I'll try to just focus on one task at a time.

After dinner I retrieved my dry laundry and moved some more seedlings downstairs. We ended up getting very little rain, so I will actually have to water already over the next couple of days. Not many plants growing out there yet, but some.
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow!
