I would like to try starting tomorrow. For a few years I did Flylady religiously and still am signed up to the emails, although I seldom open them anymore--still visit the website now and then.
I think folks feel that it is not okay to jump in and jump out, or to modify or leave out what isn't right for them, but i always did. I wear socks but no shoes in the house, for example.
I would like to try this because I am going back to work on Thursday, which means the mess will roll away from me like a boulder down a hill.

I think that's why a lot of people say that the program only works for SAHMs, but (at least back when I was on it) she specifically sent out emails about modifying it to work for you,use what you can and throw out the rest, change things to the days that work for you, etc. I'll have to look into that 43 Things thing that someone mentioned above. I always wished I could customize my own list because I am so concrete in my thinking.

HI!
I have done flylady for years. she is all about us modifying to fit ourselves. Also, like puppybox said, if you sign up for digest format, all the emails at once, linked together.
Also, if you look at her cleaning plan, it can be overwhelming....
But, if you read her own history... how she started was only doing her sink... and kept it clean for a month. that was her ONLY goal. But, she found, it was contagious-like... so she wanted to wash the dishes to not put them in the sink and then she wanted to work on counters. an dthen the curtains and window asked to be washed.
We have found that here, too, if we declare one thing, a chair, a sq foot of our floor, or our bed "zero degrees" then it becomes contagious.
The service is free, and always has been. Now, she offers, good cleaning & house support products. Yes, there are testamonials... but that is her only advertising... she doesnt do popups in our face... or streaming ads.
One more thing... I quite understand if you choose to dislike her, it is no skin off my nose.
I subscribed to Flylady emails years before I was on squalor survivors... and I find tidbits many places that are helping me.
