1) The URL to the page you are on when the bug occurred. takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/threads/recent2) What happened, in detail? Clicking on the 'NEW' button for threads I've been following brought me to the first post, as though I'd never read it before. I had to wait for someone to post in a thread I'd visited since the migration to see if it happens then and it doesn't. 'New' button works fine on posts I've viewed this afternoon. SO... I'm thinking that our view history is just gone forever? 3) If you received an error message, what did it say? N/A 4) What do you think should have happened instead? It should have gone to the new content since the last time I'd viewed the post. 5) Can you reproduce this on every pageview? Yes. 6) What browser, version, and operating system are you using? Chrome on Windows 7 7) Please attach a screen shot (JPG or PNG -- not GIF or BMP) if it is relevant.

I noticed the same. I am on Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1 I tried it with both I.E. 8 and Firefox 19.0.2 I notice this *not* just from the latest threads as PaperGrace commented. I see it also from the main menu of each of the individual forums, when I click on "new" on any of the threads. Edit to clarify:it's this "new" button to the left of a thread title seen in the list of thread-titles while viewing the menu of any of the boards.

The URLs are different than they were with v4.5. I don't know if that will correct itself in time or if is a bug.
BTW, the first time you set a bookmark after migration, you will get a 'Bookmarks' button in your menu. That can be very handy.

I was pleased to see that my bookmarks followed without a hitch, I don't have to go looking for the threads themselves, just where the heck I was last...

That's odd, I have the 'New' button on almost all posts in the private blog section. They are all pre-migration for me. I know I have not read one blog post in several days, so I know they are all pre-migration.
I wonder why this is happening to you and not to me.
Could you have accidentally hit the 'mark all posts read' button? I know it was an option in v4.5, but I'm not seeing where it is on v5 right at this moment. Ah, there it is. At the top on the right, just below the Forum title.
Example: Go to any one of the forums (Introductions, for example.) and just under the blue line that says Introductions, on the right choose the drop-down box 'Actions'. The action 'Mark Board Read' will turn off all the 'New' buttons on that board for you.

We'll watch the posts you just checked tomorrow and see if it takes you to the last post. If not, we'll take it to ProBoards Support.

Eagle, i'm not sure what you're saying my experience is that i have NEW buttons everywhere, even on threads i was caught up on reading before the conversion. And when i click on the new button, it takes me to the first post of the thread, even though i had left off reading on page 59.

I have the buttons, they don't work on old posts, but when I clicked it for this post it brought me to the right place, as I have a 'view history' for this thread post migration.

This isn't a big problem for me, since I caught up on all of my bookmarked pages over the weekend. I can be pretty sure that in all but the most prolific threads all I have to do is zoom to the last page and catch up from there. For people who don't log in often though, this could be a pain in the neck. Was I on page 36 or 48 last time I logged in? Now there are 52 pages?!

As I said in the "where is bookmark" thread, I don't have bookmarking in that dropdown menu. Nor do i have delete. See my reply here: takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/post/337266/quote/21129

Check this post, Lion, for a graphic showing the Action dropdown menu. I'll check with my test account to see what regular members see and get back to you about the delete button... Watch this space. CourageouslyLion SeeksSerenity, this is where the delete button is. ![Delete button]() From what you are telling me, your Firefox browser is completely broken. If I were you, I'd uninstall it, then re-install it.
