Great job 1rarebeautifuldove on getting all that cleaned out. I put some shelves together to store the contents of some bins. I just got the first bin emptied and on the shelves. eta: im not getting overly excited about the empty bin. I plan to put other things in that bin. In the end i should still have some empty bins, the ones i am working on emptying now are more space efficient thats why im going to transfer other stuff to them.

well at least you emptied a bin, Unswamping. you have a good plan. you have to get it distributed and homed - you will have some empties that will stay empty. the only bins i have hope to empty soon are some dahlia bins in storage! yes, i still have some dahlia tubers. i should just put into yard waste or on the street for free; no one will buy them this late, even discounted. i did sort through some reusable bags and have 6 in the donate pile now. that's a small something. going to force myself to do something more before i have to leave for the evening. ps - i know what ete means (erase the evidence) but i don't know what eta means. we need an acronym dictionary for luddites like me!

creativechaos great job on sorting through your reusuable shopping bags. Ive been avoiding that task like the plague. Maybe put the tubers out with a free sign, maybe someone will get lucky and plant them. The world needs more flowers. Good deeds have a way of coming back to you too. Eta is edited to add. Got another bin of stuff shelved. Again, no big hoorah. They are just getting stacked for now.

thank you for deciphering eta, unswamping! all i could come up with was estimated time of arrival it's great you got another bin shelved! if you won't do a big hurrah, i will woo hoo unswampy! two bins emptied!this means you will have more floor space to use your (bike), and empty (bins) take up less space and can be stashed in a stack with lids on top someplace outside, like a shed, til you need them again for something else. having fun with my "b" words, can you tell? i forgot that i crushed a small tray (box) and now have a grocery (bag) of trash ready to go out. i also burned part of my quinoa so that (burnt) quinoa is going into the trash (bag) and to the dumpster (bin) there's more b's for you. will go put bag in trash dumpster bin now.

creativechaos Great job on getting the box crushed and the bag full. Sorry about the burnt quinoa. Im glad you are having fun with the b's. I just moved a stack of wood so i could get to more bins. Maybe i can deal with the wood when we have a "w" thread. Good thing we are only on "c". I got a third tote unpacked and sorted. Going to a dinner break and then back at it.

creativechaos every item put away, donated, recycled, planted, tossed, given to a friend, returned to the library.... is a VICTORY and PROGRESS. Unswamping - every bin emptied, gone through even part way and 2, 3 things taken out to toss, donate, put away, etc. is a VICTORY and PROGRESS You two are doing great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a bunch of trash - two grocery bags of trash out of this bin, filled a small box with things to donate, started a bag. Bin is becoming empty!

1rarebeautifuldove, sounds like you have another very productive time with boxes, bins, and bags! Isn't it nice to put like things together as you have with the Christmas ornaments! Now you know what pretty things you have and can access them when needed. __________ I finally got all those bags of clothes and yarn to the thrift store for donation. I think it was two weeks of the bags sitting around before they went away finally. It must be part of it for me, taking things out of the place where I have kept them seems to allow me to get used to the empty space while the things are still here, lingering. Well, whatever it is, I have been pretty successful with actually making things leave. I also took a bin of tools to the Habitat Restore.

1rarebeautifuldove . Thanks. Great job on getting two grocery bags of trash and a donate bag started. I ate dinner, took a short break and then got the third bin shelved. So three bins emptied tonight. Going to go to bed and start again tomorrow. great job angela. What a great observation. I struggle with getting stuff out too, once the decision is made and things are bagged, ready to go. Thats alot of free space youve just made.

angela - Your observation is true of me as well. Only on very rare occasions do the donates go out to the car immediately. Usually they camp out in the designated donation station in my living room, a few feet from the door. When there are enough bags, boxes, bins there, THEN I load up the Back seat of the truck and take them. And you are correct - it DOES give me (also) a chance to become accustomed to having more space. This weekend, my mom decided it would be nice to paint her bedroom. So she has been here all weekend. Fortunately, it went well. We got along very well. Which was nice. With the space above the closet clear, my mom decided that it would be nice to put her winter clothes up there and was eyeing the gift wrap bin that I wanted to donate. So, I said, I have Better Bins for sweaters So, I emptied the 2 bins that I was going to donate, into other boxes and bags. Then I emptied another one, that I wanted a better home for the candles that were in it, put those in a drawer and gave my mom 3 bins for sweaters. We have a dresser in there, which she is wanting to say Bye Bye too. Time for a D thread.
