I managed to empty one small bin last night. Something is better than nothing - no, not just that, because it's something! Hurrah! Really moving slow on this. Yeah, but just remember who won that race.

But you are moving Unswamping !!!!! And, turtles may move at a slower pace, but some of them can swim really fast! I figure as long as I keep going through boxes, finding bins I can part with (like broken ones) 2 of those already left this week, other nice ones went to the thrift store, filled. Even one box a day is A LOT!!!! Even one box every OTHER day is A LOT! Every bag you fill, even little ones, is a victory!!! AND progress!

angela - thanks - it really did. Today, I did something I have been wanting to do for 2 years: I bought 30 Boxes of black slate tile for the master Bathroom. I got 10 in before my mom got home. She helped me, and we decided to open the boxes to make it easier at that point. She and I got in 13 more. So we have 7 more boxes of tile to put in the shower. The bathroom still needs to be decluttered. But At least the tile is here now.

Mom and I got the last 7 Boxes of Tile into the Bathroom, one by one. It was easier that way on our Backs. Now I have a giant empty wooden Box in my front yard, that we took out of the Bed of my pick up.

I got 2 Boxes emptied (one only had one item left to decide on). The other a tough box. Thanks to help in chat. Item by item I got through it, we did it! Oh and special mention to Start for her help today in chat. I thanked the others in other threads. This box took a long time because it was a sentimental box. One one item I even asked "Is parting with Gram's displayed treasures "Betrayal"?" I was told "NO" So that is the answer I am going with. I also got a Big Black Bag of stuff from the garage - 2 bags of stuff went in there, a broken bucket, and other things.

This week I got 4 Big Black Bags out to the curb - in time for pick up. Also, 2 rolls of Blue carpet went out. And a few other things. And they took it ALL. I scurried around and got the 4th bag out before I left for the Beauty salon.
After the Beauty Salon, I stopped to Hobby Lobby and found some markers that DO show up on Black paper. I have one Blank journal Book with Black paper. So yay!!!

Great job 1rarebeautifuldove . You are doing so great clearing out consistently. Great job on getting the tile and getting it into the house. Fantastic work Di . You did an incredible job yesterday. Got one small bin emptied and washed out. Its been terribly hot here. So i decided im going to stack the empty bins on the washer and use the empty bathtub to put all the trash in. This way i can just toss stuff in as i come across it. Trash pickup isnt until wednesday (maybe thursday? They called and i wasnt sure from the message if it impacted wednesday trash pickup. I know it impacts mondays recycling. Generally if monday is a holiday, they just skip picking up the recycling).

Because my mom is painting her Bedroom a pretty pink that I chose, we got down the BOXES from above the closet. There is a shelf up there that is a dirt trap.
There was a Bag, a Bin, a Box with a snowman, and a Box with the manger scene. The bag just has things that will pretty much be used for something, linens that will be for the chickens or drop cloths or something. The Bin had wrapping paper in it - I quickly unpacked that Box and put the wrapping paper in my new organizer for it, emptying that Bin. That bin was set outside to get cleaned in the rain that we just had.
The box with the snowman - I will go through now. I think it is Christmas Ornaments. But I would like to see if there is anything in there that can be tossed.
I got rid of about 5 things off the Back Porch. I also got rid of about 10 things from the Master Bath.
I am in high gear again.

Snowman box - all beautiful ornaments, it is in with the Christmas decorations so those baubles can be brought out for Christmas and to Bring in the New Year.
Now going through a very full box - old Bank statements, old paid Bill statements, photos, funeral programs, wallpaper Borders - most of which I bought from the thrift shop - I believe many things are in this box. It even came with a calendar for me to play this box with. So far 30 items have been either tossed, donate pile, put away, a LONG WAY to go yet.
