Unswamping - buying something, like the bird cages, then in a month's time install it - is really very good. Done in a prudent amount of time in my opinion. Not quite the same as buying something 1 - 11 years ago and it is still waiting to be put up. Like my drapes, and my expandable clothesline - 11 years I have been waiting. So well done!! Sometimes we get things when it is a good time, a good price, or the item is simply available. There can be MANY reasons other than procrastination that a project took a month to get around to. I guess tomorrow. Or tonight after my mom goes to bed. I will tackle the boxes. I don't like to work when she is here.

I emptied a couple of bags this morning, put things away and the bags in the trash. I haven't carried the trash off from last week, the stinky bag is still on the front porch and I have another to go with it.
Emptied 2 buckets of sticks, grass and weeds this morning.

Yesterday i put the bags of cat litter away, dealt with bags of shop and drop, removed two boxes from the hallway/doorway and cut up the huge box that my exercise bike came in.

I looked through a box here in the upstairs doom room that had been sitting in the same spot for over a year. Now don't laugh, this box contained a bunch of paper that I had already decided to go away!! What was it still doing here?? Well now it's in the carport waiting for the burn pile. I'll call this a bin project in that I'm putting things into a bin. I started the process of going through this stack of S's papers and all of his unopened mail that's come over this past year and sorting into new files in a small file box. Slow and horrible, but I'm doing it one thing at a time. I'm determined.

I emptied a box, almost all of it went into the trash, except for about 6 things. I moved 5 boxes into the craft room.
I realized the pilates machine really won't fit in that space in the family room. It can go in the living room where there really isn't any furniture. I can figure out a way to put a tv/dvd thing so I can watch the dvd in here. If it is too difficult to do from the treadmill desk.
But. I still want to go through and empty as many boxes/bins as possible. Craft room is a better location for them. The room will look nicer without a pile of boxes stacked against the wall.
I am filling bags with trash so that is progress.

So far, I have 2 big bags ready for tomorrow. I got the Bottles out for recycling. I also today, sorted and emptied a box of beads. I gave 60+ small baggies to a friend who is sorting her jewelry - costume and real.
All the nice little packages of beads went into a box that I designated for donations.
That was Wednesday.
Now it is Thursday. I got another black bag filled. All 3 bags are out for pick up and the 4 bottles I forgot about and left in the back of the pick up - gallon jugs of water, been traveling around for 2 months, out of there, the water I poured on the plants outside. Added the 4 mishapen bottles to the recycle bin.
Also, I need to get the table and bag of things from yesterday's jaunt to the thrift store out of the Back Seat of the truck. Also there is a bag with a gift from my friend.

angela great job on getting that box of papers out to the burn pile. When is the bonfire? I have a few boxes like that around here too. 1rarebeautifuldove you are doing great with slowly but consistently going through things and filling bags with trash. Great work on getting all that out! ohblondie i hope you find those valances. I just hate when that happens.

I guess I can report that at least 8 boxes and 5 buckets full of stuff have been emptied out and their contents sorted and ready for me to make a keep/release decision. Some of those boxes had been sitting, full of stuff, in the Pump House for the last 15 years.
