I'm right behind you on the kitchen cupboards cyn! Although I didn't pull everything out today, I opened them all, looked inside, got intimidated, and closed them again! Last year I got rid of all the expired plus all the things S knew how to cook with but that I do not. But I do have a lot of things that came from when I helped friend move last January, canned beans, spices, etc. I think I need to work on a meal/eating plan and get that clear in my mind. Then it's likely that I'll feel more comfortable releasing some of these things. I did put together 2 boxes of food donations so that is a start.

Great job cyn !!! It's nice that you can see how far you've come even when you put the contents of a cabinet out and cover the surfaces, NOW as you said, you can more easily SEE what needs to go, what can stay, etc. That is a wonderful place to be! Knowing "what" to do with the things scattered across the counters is a huge thing. Looking forward to knowing what to do with all the things on my counters....

WTG angela for getting 2 boxes of food donations together! That's a *great* start! I'm only able to empty them all, because we had so little in there. If it weren't for our mouse-friendly cupboards, I'd be drowning in all the 'terrific deals' I see grocery shopping. Ok, in true Cyn style, I abandoned the kitchen project. It's not so bad - I did put the keeper stuff back. But now that I've got all those empty shelves, I decided to attack the doom room's smaller closet and see what I've got stashed in there. It was so much fun to open a box of vintage glassware yesterday! Nice! The rest of the stuff...bah, I'm tripping over it...2 more days to collect - tripping hazards better look out - the donations box is already started, .

WTG def6 Yowza, everyone's drawers?! You earned 5 stars for sure! I'm having a Happy C Day! All the Crap is out (garbage/recycling day) and I prepared my outdoor shelving for my Churn (moving out my planters) by recycling the little plant Containers I was (ahem) keeping for 'something' IDK what. I also placed an icky small Carpet in the veggie garden, to use as a weed barrier when I open the gate. Plus, I ordered a delivery of Crushed stone so DH has something to do on his 4-day long weekend. Bwaahaahaa! Now, back to the Closet full of Cardboard!

C is for consignment for me. I got rid of clothing and 3 huge bags of toys... for Cash!
C is for catbox........ or cat litter. I have a big box of litter, and the entire top ripped off. I caught my cat perched in it to pee... right next to his clean cat box.
consignment, cash, clothing, cat box... I like this c thread!

seekingpeace Yay with your Collection of C's! Cash, wheeee!!! I unpacked every box in the Closet, and made a *Catastrophe* in the doom room. Now I need to Clean it up! China said farewell last night - a Close friend has my special tea set and matching dinner plates. My *most favorite* tea set is now on display in my Cabinet, rather than sitting in the Closet. The rest of the China is getting donated tomorrow - it's been sitting out on the bar this whole time, and now I'm tired of looking at it - ha ha, tricked myself! My big Closet is next - once I Contain the donations.

angela great job on clearing out cupboards! 2 boxes of food donations is a great start!! Yes - releasing spices, and foods that you do not eat or enjoy eating, is a great thing to do. I heard a lady on YouTube say to do that. It made sense to me. Great job cyn on the smaller closet in the doom room!!! Nice that you found the glassware!! It's always wonderful to find neat treasures in your home! And good use with the carpet as weed barrier. My favorite is cardboard. And great that you recycled the plant containers and got all the Carp out for trash/recycling day! That is always such a wonderful feeling. (for me) def6 - Super job on the clothing! Well done!! Hope your cooking was enjoyable and tasty! seekingpeace Great job on all the C's you did/are doing today!!! Congrats on your consignments! Today is my trash day! I got the yucky, ugly pink carpet cut and out this morning. There are a couple more pieces of carpet by the out building that I am hoping to get out in time for today's pick up.

Thanks, 1rarebeautifuldove It's easier for me to rehome *treasures* when they're going to people I care about. The 'regular' stuff is easier to release to the general public. But, it IS getting easier! Yay - I never thought I'd be able to let anything go, . I was happy about letting that China go, when I thought how nice it was going to look in her antique hutch - and knowing how much she loves it. Bonus that she boxed up her previous set, and gave it to me for donation! Win win win! Great work with your Carpet, and all the other Crap gone for trash day!
