Good morning!
Last night as I was falling asleep I remembered that once again, I forgot to mail a card that was in my dog walk bag. So this morning I immediately took the card to the nearest mailbox, and at the same time, put some little library books out, filled the water bowl under the tree, and threw some leftover bread into the park for the birds. On the way back I walked down the alley behind my building and I found another good size box for book shipping! So, a good start to the day.
I'm eating breakfast now, and making a wishlist of to-dos for the day.
SetMeFree, PLEASE do not worry about responding to every post, you are in crisis mode right now and need to just worry about yourself. Just pop in when you can and let us know that you're okay. Or post all day long if it helps you vent!
Magda, I use Morningstar Farms Bacon Strips--in some stores they are with the other meatless items, but mostly I find them in the frozen breakfast section. They crisp up nicely in the microwave so they're quick. In fact, Morningstar Farms is my favorite veggie burger brand, their original Garden Veggie patties are so good, but I can't find them at the main grocery store anymore. I looked them up online after my last shopping trip and it says they still sell them at Target, so the next time I get a ride I'll have to ask my friend to stop at Target.
TO DO:
Finish breakfast Clean up from breakfast Wash cat food dishes Scoop litter pans

Okay, next I'm going to move two things around in the LR, a short metal file cabinet will go back next to my main desk, and the heavy bin of little library/sale books will move to the corner for now. This will involve getting a towel under the cabinet so I don't scratch the floor, and sweeping out where the cabinet was.

That didn't take as long as I thought it would. Although I did disturb two spiders who went scurrying off in different directions so I had to wait until they were out of the way. Next: Put miscellaneous bags/totes away Put dry dishes away 10 minutes on books Delete 50 emails Diane

My 10 minutes on books kept on and on and on. I decided to go to Aldi on Friday, which means I need the book box by then, so I sorted out what I think will be one box, and also gathered books for the new site--I probably have 2 more boxes worth... I need to push forward on this and finally get these books out of here--if they go to the little library it will take such a long time.
I'm stopping for lunch now.

After lunch I decided to get the plant room back to the totally decluttered state it was in recently, it wasn't bad, but there were things I left out here and there. Even when it was done, it bugged me that there was still a large basket of stuff remaining on the work table from years before, with miscellaneous office supplies and things I just I threw in there to get out of the way. I can use that extra 1.5 square feet of space on the work table, so I went in there and started going through it. I'm about half way to the bottom, I'm finding missing things like my 2nd and 3rd rulers (I have only had one in one of my desks, now I have one for the second desk and a spare) I've taken the half empty basket out to the LR to work on while I watch my TV show. I put a different basket on the work table which now holds the plant care stuff.
Also while watching my show I will work on the last of the decluttering needed in the LR.

So from 3-4 I worked on decluttering the LR--starting at the front door point and figured I'd work my way around the room. I only got about 1/4 of the way around though, in a whole hour. That's because everything was left were things that needed me to actually do something with them instead of just put them away. I like working around the room though, it kept forcing me to go back to the correct spot in the room and deal with whatever was there instead of looking around for something easier to do. Then my sister called at 4, and we talked for a whole hour. So now I'm back, with another TV show I want to watch, and I will keep working on the LR. First though, I have to start a load of laundry and feed the cat. Diane

Hi diane you have been so productive! Thanks for the tip on Morningstar. I love their veggie burgers original and eat them nearly every day. I’ll try the bacon
Today was busy! Did the usuals to get DD off to school and me off to work. Folded and put away a load of laundry this morning before work
I had six meetings scheduled for today - at 9,10,10:30, 11, 2 and 3! but! Three were canceled last minute!!! Was like getting presents. At lunch I took my car in for an oil change. There was no line so they took me right away.
I ended up working late because I found out one job had a deadline that I did not know about.
Big reorg stuff happened today -so high up the ladder from me that it won’t have a ripple effect in the trenches for a long time.
Heated up leftovers for dinner
Next Drive DD to and fro Laundry Dishes Litter

Hi magda! Good that that the organizational change won't affect you, but I'm sure you're still worried about what else will happen. Hopefully it will all be good.
I got a long-ish call from my decluttering client, and then I got another (short) call from my sister. In between I looked at the last box of books that I'm aware of (other than the ones under the bird cage...) so that I could fill up a big box for the Friday UPS trip. I still have to register and pack it, but I think I have all the books that could go to that particular site now. So no more work done on decluttering the LR but I'm closer to getting the box ready.
I also moved the laundry to the dryer, and I'm cooking brown rice in the microwave. I still have to steam some frozen veggies but then I'll make dinner. In the meantime I'll do a little more PEEPing.

Emergency came up just at the end of the day. Came home, worked out dog boarding details with my son he is dropping her off and picking her up. Ordered pizza for church pot luck I didn't eat seconds! That is a first. Just washed a sink full of dishes. Once they dry I will wash the rest. Time to start gathering clothes and such. Tomorrow I will empty out the car. These mental lists of what to pick and bring are making me crazy

Oh, and I'm letting my three paper, jointed skeletons go--they are about 2 feet high and I've sometimes put them up in my apartment before Halloween, but I've decided that this year I will put them, one at a time, in the little library and let them go to new homes. If I ever feel like I need articulated skeletons I can buy some more. Diane

Yes Diane a work emergency. My supervisor told a group of people incl her supervisor that she was going to a meeting. She told the people at the meeting she was dealing with something upstairs. We caught her just as she was walking out the door.

Well, the weather forecast says it's going rain A good portion of Friday, so I might have to wait for Aldi and the UPS store. That means I have to wait to register the box so that I don't risk passing the deadline.
Next:
Feed parakeets Hang up laundry from dryer Put phone away 10 minutes on paper
