Hi mouseanne! What great goals. It'll be fun to follow/cheer your progress! Once I get further along on my fence project, I may even need to toss some woodworking questions your way. Thanks for joining me in this Labor Day Challenge!

I'm bumping this to try to work more towards my goals. There is a very good chance I will turn this into a Labor Day Challenge ending Mon. Sept. 7, 2020 to make goal achievement more attainable.

sidestep Thanks for the challenge! Copying my HUGE list from the purge threads into here - 1) better chance to finish by September and 2) it won't go away if I still need the list in October (most likely). In no particular order: 1) finish master closet - which means clothes, shoes, accessories. As well as the three bins of too small and vintage stuff which brings me to: 2) in the "good" guest room - go through the closet and dresser. Relocate DM's stuff to her hoard that I have stored in the basement. And, sort through the e-waste pile and get it semi-organized for DH to designate what can officially go. Then, I can move the vintage/retro clothes into the guest room dresser. 3) finish office - go through 2 more bookcases, a large dresser, 2 drawer file cabinet, desk drawers (7) and the closet which isn't bad. Has a very large stack of stuff that "came with the house" and I think most can be shredded. I have one small bin of stuff that needs to be filed once the desk is done. 4) Do my family room shift which currently houses all the barware, the serving dishes, the "good" dishes and the linens. Plus I have an entertainment unit full of knick-knacks. 5) get personal and business taxes to the accountant which will mean a big scale down and organization of paperwork. 6) do DM's taxes - also a big scale down of paperwork 7) Release a bunch of "to do" emails - either acknowledge I'm never going to deal with it or actually deal with it. 8) See if I have anyplace to dump all these donations I'm gathering up. 9) work on storage room - I did a major purge in there when I moved all my holiday stuff around so it isn't too horrid. Once again - donations - where are they going? 10) my ongoing project of "hanging stuff" - I have half a closet of "things to hang" in the other guest room - also a dump site. 11) hall closet and other entertainment unit in living room - both aren't too bad. 12) set up the exercise area in the basement PC

1. Completely finish cleaning, sorting, and organizing all the outside and garage stuff. 2. Get the flower and shrub beds in order. I have 2 acres. That's a big deal. 3. Kill the weeds in the lawn and prep for reseeding. See above. 4. Solve the septic issues. 5. Fix the front yard spigots. DONE. I hired it out. 6. Make part of the playroom a sitting room. 7. Stretch goal: finish roofing the shed.

Why not put as much as you can into trash bags and declutter them in the bags?
