Hi gaylem! Welcome! Good luck with that floor! And the quicker you do it, the less time you'll spend dreading it. Dreading something takes a lot of energy sometime! @sidestep - fantastic job on mowing! That's hard work. I wish I could share my 70* weather with you. mouseanne - you ok? I decided that all of my previous errands could be ran at the local grocery store. Though I hate going on Saturday's it was going to be easier than 4 separate places. I got an interesting dessert at the grocery store - looks like it has a layer of cheesecake, layer of brownie and layer of white/vanilla cake with chocolate frosting! I've started watching the SpaceX launch. I am so excited!! 50% chance of good weather though, so I won't get too excited. I still need to work on other stuff too. TaDa: Get dressed Run errands at the grocery store Loaded dishwasher ToDo: Run dishwasher Put smelly thing on Spray toilet to soak

skatters, yea, it was just a TaDa. I tend to avoid doing them. Had a pulmonary test this week. It seems my emphysema has progressed. Doc wants a chest CT, and an appt with a pulmonologist. My small town doesn't have one so it's an hour diagonally northeast, or an hour straight east. The dessert sound yummy. One store over 4, that's a no-brainer. But since, I'm worse, it's past time to take my meds consistently, no? Added bonus, maybe I'll get more done if I have better oxygenation?

TaDa Sorted jeans, piled 2 baskets together Lined basket to receive clean towels (See, I really am OCD, I can't put clean clothes into a basket that previously had dirty clothes in it. And another thing, I see on tv people putting laundry baskets on their bed or couch, I mean, really!? The laundry room floor cannot be clean enough for that.) So...I made cotton liners for my 2 laundry baskets. not a TaDa, a couple years ago. TaDa Rinsed a pot Boiling eggs Lunch is deviled eggs Extras for HB egg breakfasts Thawing a packet of rice bean pork whatever ToDo Dress face teeth hair (Yes, still. Sigh) Make cornbread for supper

mouseanne - I am glad you are committed to using your meds more. I do think they would make you more comfortable! My dad and stepmom both have COPD, and they refused meds/oxygen for so long they're pretty miserable now. So take care of yourself!! Great job on laundry!! And get dressed, would ya lady? ! sidestep, hot clay? TV show or something physical for aches/pains? (Poor thing yea, mouseanne really is cluless) they won't give me oxygen, cuz later, when I'm worse, there won't be anything else to give me. What I don't understand, is, why is it progressing? I don't smoke, never have, also never lived with a smoker. I'm careful of environment, I don't used air fresh thingys in my home, I'm chemically aware. I.e. cleaning products are mild. skatters you don't like my nightie? I told you all just so you'd make me! IP for eggs. Not, yet. It crossed my mind, but the liner is soaking in the sink. TaDa Peeled eggs, extras in fridge Made, ate deviled. I'm out of mustard, seems I tossed it when I moved. Used Dijon, Not the same flavor at all and I over salted. O, well another meal not skipped, yay!

mouseanne, I am in love with a microwaveable/chillable clay pack I found @ Walgreen's. I'd link you, but I can't with my phone. It is enclosed in a very sturdy, non-immersible bag that I nuke & belt tightly with a tactical belt to my lumbar region to help reduce lumbar pain. I wear it from the time I get up, 'til bedtime & it is amazing. I only heat it a few times/day but keep it on for back support. The cheap substitute I got previously @ Walmart is no comparison. That one is flimsy, got overheated, turned into hot rocks that 'prolly gave me 3° burns during my inspection. My fault for continuous heated use, but I had to to keep me mobile enough to push thru.

Today is the best that I have felt in about a month. I was able to fix food for all 3 dogs standing up and without having to take a break. That's a major achievement for me. I wound up back in the hospital again to have my lung fluid drained after just 10 days past the first time.
My oncologist if very encouraging and after a few more tests - an MRI of my brain and CAT scans of my chest, abdomen and pelvic areas if all is clear I'll be able to start in on some phase two clinical trials of an immunotherapy course of treatment. He says that there are several of his patients who are back to living almost normal lives, being a working mom, or playing golf several times a week (at least before the stay at home orders) and so that gives me great hope.
Several friends have gone above and beyond when it comes to helping me out with even the simplest things. Now that I have a better picture of what my future schedule will be I can hire some help to come in and get the place really cleaned up. That will make a huge difference both for my physical health and my psychological well being.
I have a home health nurse coming in twice a week to check on me, keep track of my vitals, etc.
I just started a load of laundry of my own clothes for the first time in ages. Lately I've done nothing but dog towels that get used to wipe up after 2 of my old incontinent guys. I'm being careful not to over do it to the point where I am in lots of pain and have a very hard time breathing.
I hope that I'll soon be able to post more regularly about small steps, progress toward a healthier home.
Carry on with all your good work, it provides inspiration for me. Thanks.

mouseanne - you must try the eggs in the IP. I would own the IP just for eggs! On a trivet, water in bottom, 5 min high pressure, 5 min natural release, then into ice water. I do hope your emphysema stops progressing. Strange that you have it at all... scary too, I am sure. calypso - your clinical trials sound encouraging! I wish you luck with them. Great job on laundry!! I hope you are able to rebuild your strength slowly but meanwhile, hiring help sounds like a good solution! Still moving forward! 2.5 hrs before guests get here. Now an 1.5 hours before guests arrive. Now thirty minutes! Though they ARE guests, they are not judgmental guests... just my kids and my exhusband (still a good friend). All of which will be impressed, I think, with how decent the house looks. Especially in light of dealing with my foot. TaDa: Get dressed Run errands at the grocery store Loaded dishwasher Run dishwasher Put smelly thing on Spray toilet to soak Closed eyes for 30 min Picked up LR floor in anticipation of vacuuming Cleaned toilet Cleaned bathroom sink Picked up bathroom floor Cleaned left kitchen sink Put shoes back on Clear off sectional Fold crocheted blankets and shawls Vacuum living room Warm up leftover cheesy potatoes Changed kitty litter Vacuumed kitty litter Put pop and beer in fridge 30 min in kitchen !!! Bag up recycling Shower Clear off chicken box Dust TV table ALRIGHTY Y'ALL - I am off for the day! I'll check in later tonight or in the morning to see how we're all doing! Keep on keeping on!
