I want to focus on creating a routine of maintenance before work - so it frees my weekends up for bigger projects! I like to keep a daily running tally of all my small steps, to watch them grow!
I need to leave for work in about 2 hours.
TaDa: Got vertical an hour early. I am going to try to do this every work day. Caffeinated Meds Brushed teeth Looked for hair clog remover stuff, added to grocery list Hung up 2 coats
ToDo: Fold and put huge quilt into garbage sack to keep it clean Find new home for the instant pot Put lunch in the microwave, clean kitchen for 5 min while it cooks

mouseanne, just letting you know of skatters' new creation for keeping track of the daily minutia. July 4th is bigger stuff. I hope that helps. Regardless, I'm sorry, I don't mean to stress you. Use whichever/however you'd like. I'll oblige. L.E.: - I've still nothing good to report-- Stressy pending phonecalls have me stuck in place. skatters, What is this about a puddle? Is your car leaking?

I sorely (and I mean that in the exact definition of the word) need to get back to a planned management of tasks.
i will begin with the ones I 'should' do as to pretend I care:
1. Vacuum up all the dry plant leaves I broomed into a pile in the sun room.
2. Pick up and fold 7 brown grocery bags I tossed on the floor after delivery so cuddle-cat can play in them. 12 days is enough time.
3. Unload the DW from a seated position- place all on top of counter.
4. wipe down popcorn popper and put away. No more carbs til Sat. night.
5. Fill laundry basket with last items, get next to door for toting outside to washer.
6. Continue adding items to my grocery shopping 'mini' run.

thanks for the tiny steps thread, skatters - way to go everyone! not really sure how to use this thread that differs from listzilla or workalong. is this for things we are dreading or procrastinating (my m.o. for everything, unfortunately)?
i guess my big accomplishment today was getting a washer and dryer in laundry room and doing a load. still need to fold it though.

Welcome to the thread & welcome back H2H! on all you've done. Amazing job, creativechaos! Please take care of your back & good luck with the Holter monitor. I'd join you guys, but I'm too busy being a nervous nellie atm. Meanwhile, keep up the good work! creativechaos, it's basically the same, just less overwhelming for me than a big, busy thread since I can only read & post from my phone--no working home internet. L.E.: **(I'm using tracfone pre-paid cards to get online with my phone.)

mouseanne and creativechaos ... Basically sidestep and I decided we would try our own thread where she's not so overwhelmed (or overwhelming her phone!)and I can post my daily tally of tiny steps that I like to keep that overwhelm some in the other list threads. I haven't decided if I will participate in the big July thread... I am still decompresssing after this past weekend! You guys post here or there or wherever you need to get things done! The important thing is to just keep on posting!!

TaDa Yesterday, washed mixing cup and stir spoon WHEN I made ckn rice at lunch Dry hang put black blouses (have been sitting wet in dryer) WooHoo! Winter to Summer closet switch complete, except for one navy skirt and the black skirt in mending. The closet's snug, but it fits. As Midwest US heats up, first migration out of my closet to upstairs is long sleeve poly, then short sleeve poly, then cotton long sleeve. Migration finishes around the end of June. So, I had taken piled fabric out of the log cabin box. I noticed apple cores in the pile of fabric. Apple core is a tesselating block with 2 convex ends and 2 concave sides. I grabbed an empty art bin and resorted the top half of the fabric. Apple core blocks and sewn applecore sections are in their own bin! Apple core is a cut down plan quilt, so it's totally scrappy My cut down plan is a use fabric up plan. As i dig a fabric out, I cut it up into the various quilts on the plan. I haven't worked the plan since last summer, when I started packing to move. This is the thread where I've tracked my fabric eliminations.Note: a portion of this post will be moved to Crafty Bits thread later. nah, they know all that over there, just deleted it.

Hi mouseanne! Nice job on the clothing switch. I first saw the apple core find & thought oh no, rodents! Glad it is just a fabric/quilting thing! I'm interested in what seasonings you used in your chicken & rice if you care to share.

sidestep. Well. When covid hit, and I went to buy rice & beans, the store was cleaned out. One thing remaining was packages of yellow rice. I bought some, just to have them. Then I ate them and really liked them. However. I have obtained a replacement recipe. Because. It's just rice & seasonings, but more expensive. And the cook who posted the recipe said the yellow rice had food coloring in it and other unnecessary stuff in it. I hadn't looked at the listed ingredients, I did, and it does. a yellow rice recipeThis isn't the recipe I found, but it is is similar. I haven't tried a recipe, yet. I will once I use up the on-hand packages. This may have been the last package. I wanted to shampoo my hair this morning. But, I hadn't shaken the rags, yet. The fluff always manages to go in my face, so I like to do it BEFORE a shower/shampoo. So, I pulled on my jeans over my jammies, and: TaDa I finally shook the blasted rags

mouseanne - I had to google apple core quilts and I am glad I did! It looks difficult to cut out and like you have to be very precise! I also like that you washed your dishes after the rice and chicken and finally got to shake out those rugs!! Good job!!! I normally work Mon-Fri, but we are still working a modified Covid schedule, so I have today off. Not sure I have a game plan, but we'll get one made! TaDa: Got vertical which was difficult after long night of DD drama Opened blinds Caffeinated ToDo: Find some meat to thaw Look up recipe for cheesy potatoes Get dressed and brush teeth
