Hi!
Nothing much new to report Bit of laundry ETE'd liv rm and bedroom daily, that's "normal", right? Liv room trash, re-line
This morning, while coffee brewed, washed, dried, seasoned an iron fry pan, washed the spatula I used to scrape it
So, no clothes on bed to sort to laundry or re-wear No jewelry No pile of shoes getting dusty LR is tidy except for my middle of night project: scissors, baggies of buttons, folded fabric bits from de-boning 2nd hand men's shirts (it's a harvest fabric for quilts thing, very big in the frugal scrappy quilting world)
One of my oddities: I cut the hem off whole. I wrap it into a ball, the ball is a decoration in my sewing room, and I use them for ties if I need something tied.

My nasty laundry room is clean thanks to this thread. Today tackled another grubby area that disturbs me daily. I have a large bathroom brother's side with mirrors reaching to ceiling and long counter. Brother's side is located to the right of the toilet. It has not been cleaned since 2010 when he was out of town. I tackled it then. He drove to town this morning to purchase a battery for his car. I realized I have a couple of hours to tackle that grime while he was gone. I soaked all the bottles, shaving gear, shampoos, medical stuff, etc in a tub of dishsoap. I wiped the counter and squeeged the mirrors. I had assorted containers to replace everything with like things together. One hour and I no longer gag when I look at that counter. Will probably add it to the daily routine. A Tiny Step to My Comfort!

mouseanne- Folded 4 grow bags << you go girl!! yesterday I folded 5 bags that had been there a week, cat does play in them a bit, but i needed to sweep and handvac the debris up. finished the last of the laundry-- and COUNTING how many old turtlenecks I have to begin using for sewing projects LATER in the fall..18 so far!! The ONLY color I don't have is yellow... and some men's T shirts... I CUT UP all the men's Ts as I use them for rags (I use the short sleeves as a ONE time really dirty cleanup tool. they are large enough to get all soapy and with bleach water, to scrub something and NOT put in the wash pile, but just dispose of. THAT is one permission I give myself..not to save every darn thing. ... and i often KEEP the ART on the front of the T-shirts as dust rags ..I have a few odd ball pieces: "Save the Gorillas", to "get Bin Laden in a New York Minute", to some historic sketch of a town hall from somewhere ... BUT I found one I was using as a dust rag (infrequently or I would have noticed it earlier!!!) but it has the COOLEST COW art from a 1985 summer festival event.. WELL time to save it!!! now it will be the proud FRONT piece art on the bodice of my soon to be wrap apron..so excited to use it and protect it from bleach and dirt as a cleaning rag. Attachments:

I have been very good on repackaging the fresh meat purchased. I had a big roll of baking parchment paper ( HA! who was I kidding?? it is 4 years old as I made a couple cauliflower crust Keto pizzas back then and was done experimenting) ( I no longer really "cook" I just apply heat to foods that need it, and eat. Keeping is very simple. --I made a 'sorta' cassarole yesterday with more than 4 ingredients 3+ veggies + meat, shredded cheese, garlic, onion, butter and consider myself the winner of a "bakeoff" Now have dinner and snack for 3 days. --I actually sorted and put away 2 loads of laundry, TWO more to go. PLUS sorting a big purple bin of 'saved' clothes that don't fit- I NEED NO CLOTHING FOR 14 MORE YEARS!..IF I work on redesigning and combining fabrics..which I ENJOY as a mental challenge. -OFF to go get groceries at the little local $$ shop.. masks are now required for all when we leave the house. OK, will do. -Just watched a grilled cheese sandwich being roasted up close and delicious looking on a griddle..NOW I am hungry and may get some bread an make one for tonite!! ( I love simple foods ...grilled cheese and tomato soup makes me happy!!) This meme cracks me up!!!! Attachments:

"I've been binge watching Game of Thrones while doing chores! Made them go faster in theory"
SKATTERS.... I actually never watched GOT because I wasn't paying for HBO for years..then suddenly the last season began in March or April last year, so In Feb I signed up for the cheap rate just to see what it was about!! (Hence the cartoon I have included)
and BINGED all 6 YEARS in 6 weeks!!!! .. I was so happy because I could never have paid attention to ALL the details one week to the next then months before the next season, etc.. So I had a good time jamming it all in.!!
In fact i was in my jammies and furry mastodon winter bathrobe on a Sat, at NOON in late February when the Jehovah Witness's couple knocked on my door.. at one point there was lots of screaming- and animal noises from the TV .. I was already embarrassed to be in my bathrobe and PJs so I just shrugged at the noise and said " The dragons are eating everyone"...and they just stared at me!!!!
PS the white wolf pup named LADY for Sofie Turner in the series was adopted by HER and her family when filming was over... the dogs name is ZUNNI and she is a Northern Inuit dog.

Nuttin' yet to report as TaDa's yet, but I've been busy wrangling up handwritten 'Zilla's. Extreme high heat, horribly high covid, people next door & high stress have recently decreased my achievability factor! But, today's a new day, so I'll try to channel it. HeeYah! To Do: - Bills - Dishes - Food Prep L.E.: Ta Da: - Dishes Washed - Dishes Dried - Dishes Put Away - Chorizo Burrito To Do: - Bills x 3 - Food Prep -- Meatballs? Hamburger Patties? Diced Potatoes? - Assemble Spices - Change A/C Filters

@h2h - Too funny about the Jehovahs showing up while you're watching GoT! This is my 2nd time watching it through, and apparently I missed SO much the first time through! Great job on all your dishes sidestep! This week has been a blur. A situation occurred at work that increased our work load tremendously... and it looks like it's here to stay. Overall, I don't mind too much as it makes the days go by faster. But there's still a learning curve going on. So that stress, starting PT for my foot, etc... made for a week that was NOT nice to the house! But I am going to get it back in check today! TaDa: Got vertical after sleeping in. Fed cats Got Caffeine Made/ate scrambled eggs Dinner in crock pot Sorted/started laundry Unload dishwasher Clean bathroom sink Repackaged Costco pork chops for freezer Clean off shelf for new books Swap laundry Can't seem to get going today, so I am going to steal cando's idea of the dice game! I'll make a list, and use a random number generator to pick the next thing off the list. ToDo: 1. Clean up nest 2. Done! 3. Unload or reload dishwasher 4. Put away clothes from last weekend 5. Throw out the drug house (have you ever called something a name for so long it doesn't seem odd anymore? This is a cardboard catnip house the cats destroyed!) 6. Done! 7. Clean bathroom toilet 8. Clean bathroom vanity 9. Laundry (fold/swap/put away - whatever is next) 10. Done! First up... drum roll... 6! Off to clean the bathroom sink! Next up... 10! I've been waiting to clear off a shelf for weeks so I could see new books. I am going to force myself to do the dishwasher next. it needs to be done and might have to be ran twice.

COOKED (well the crock pot did the actual work)
Rinsed and prepped 4 chicken breasts -today was the sell by date, not going to waste any more fresh meat by delaying!
Chopped up whole cabbage- used fully 1/2 med cabbage, washed in food safe soap/soak Washed baby carrots in food safe soap/rinse Turn on the loaner crockpot- add coconut oil, slice small garlic head, and 3/4 med red onion, chopped, let heat
i ALWAYS forget to put the veggies in first so they soak up the favors... sigh, I 'rousted' them around later when I changed the heat temp.
everything got jammed in til full, turn on high 2 hrs, then low 2 hours and VOILA' dinner!!
heated up my favorite Hinode rice, leftovers, in large bowl added to hot crockpot meal--satisfying. Sticking to eating one main meal a day, plus a smaller protein choice ( nutty PB, no sugar, no salt added) cause the ground Almond butter maker is shut down at the store, so PB it is!
Tomorrow will make an effort to freeze half of the large amount.
Didn't do anything else, my sleep cycle is off so far that I am not forcing anything.

Hi!
I was out of town a week, medical stuff, male parent stuff, babysitting grandchild stuff, shopping stuff, girls afternoon with daughter stuff, sewing stuff. A busy, draining, restful, sugar eating week, but all in all a successful week. Hissing, spitting, kicking, screaming, (all figurative, but emotionally at that level) he's successfully ensconced in a nursing home. There will be no escape this time. Yes, he's escaped about 5 times, but we finally done it.
TaDa Car unloaded Suitcase clothes Suitcase sewing machine, to be unloaded and tossed, dog peed on it. Suitcase sewing Sewing table Small Iron board New hamper with shopping in it Shopping box 2 shopping bags
All in, yesterday evening, in the heat. Oof.
Only thing not carried in is a stack of donor jeans from DD and possibly something else, seem to remember putting something on top of them. Hmm.
Dirty unpacked Pjs/casual washed, dried, clothes folded, but not the pjs
Sewing TaDa Zipper in lingerie bag Cut 6 masks, made 4 Altered granddaughter sundress.
