Scanned BIG documents - ranging from 12 to 32 pages long - and emptied a few more boxes.

A very "squaloree" weekend.
I was anxious about medical tests Friday and going back to work Monday.
Anxious = deflect/distract/procrastinate. Sound familiar?
So I did an "easy" purge of broken things and ill-fitting clothes, including the following: * shirts with sports logos and community slogans (my former boss liked to do "spirit" Fridays) * souvenirs * "traveling" underwear (tired wrecks kept for long-distance trips so that as they're tossed, they make room for souvenirs) * extra dishes; e.g. beautiful rice-bowls and divided lunch boxes
The most squaloree decision was to get rid of socks that I have hated for several years. I had shoved them behind the ones I wore, where they jammed the drawer open. I bought them because woolen socks are comfy in our cold winters. Except they were a terrible wool-synthetic blend that was woolly enough to be scratchy but synthetic enough to retain moisture rather than wicking. Did I mention they turned from dark grey to mottled grey after a wash? I overrode Squalor Voice yelling, "You can't throw them out!" and now the drawer closes just fine.

I especially love the traveling underwear. Begone, itchy socks! Easy stuff takes up space, too. This was brilliant. I hope your test results are helpful and not concerning.

Biggest accomplishment yesterday: cleaning the laundry closet completely, including finding a better place to store a deck chair.
PS Test results came back and I will have another in six months to see if a nodule grows. Not going to worry about it.

It was Sunday, so I prayed and rested - which was harder than it sounds. I really have gotten myself in the habit of thinking that I don't deserve to rest! Because rest is for people who work hard, and I'm LAY ZEE. (Trying to beat the site censor there!) I put the kitchen rugs back on the newly-cleaned floors. They look fantastic, particularly the "mud-scraper" one that I had to scrub by hand. My mother came across two paintings of flowers that I made for her in the '90s. I had forgotten about them, but I really liked them, so she gave them back to me. I cleaned and hung them where I put on my make-up.

Broke and bagged up all the branches that came down. I thought there wasn't much dead limbs left after the last windstorms... after yesterday's, there sure isn't!
Today's goal was to get tomorrow's morning gear ready to go. Mission accomplished!

I had a running list of accomplishments but managed to delete it while making room on Ye Olde Cloude. Now I can think of only two:
Put away summer items for another year. Made my bed every morning for a week (and counting!)

Made my bed every morning for a week (and counting!) You're just going to have to settle for that warm, general feeling of accomplishment instead of the list form!

Yesterday:
Put away beach towels
Today: Pulled all garden vines, cut flowering plants that have gone dormant, and took them in bags to the community compost. Recorded HSA transactions and marked the paperwork so I'd know what's paid and what bills to expect. Put up an outdoor thermometer that had been sitting on the counter since spring.

Put tomorrow's work online for all my classes. Washed all five masks that I'll use this week.

Renewal of warranty for the fridge - mailed today. Bag of decorations taken to work - the kids can have fun with them, plus they're out of the house. Win-win!

Came home for dinner and realized I hadn't run the dryer last night. While I waited for it to finish, I...
...cleaned bathtub and then tossed disintegrated scrubber. ...replaced batteries in purse flashlight aka mini-torch and now it works again. (I was ready to buy a new one.) ...tossed various things into recycling or trash. ...fixed old bras so that I can wear at home. ...cleaned dryer lint trap THOROUGHLY. ...did a "hunt" for pencils, pens, etcétera to take to work (kids still coming in without them).

October 1: Got together ALL old scraps of construction paper and anything else kids could use to decorate for Halloween, and took them to work. October 2: Took apart three boxes and emptied a bag out. A little more room in the cupboard now.

Yesterday: Interior windows in most of the rooms. Five layers removed from tables and counters.
