Car initially wouldn’t go into gear. Got it working by following magical series of steps I found on the internet(foot on brake, hold down display button, foot off brake, turn lights on and off 3 times, spin around and click your heels. Something like that.) Amazing! It’s all working again! I’ve turned off the keyless fob as it seems to cause the problems. So finicky! Went to meditation. Having trouble breathing. Car issues really stressing me out, as I won’t be able to work if it doesn't work. I would be mortified to disappoint my supervisors again. Good walk in the hills. I needed that!

Took a memo pad, colored a couple of edges red, and started writing in some Christmas plans. Then I put it in the handy little bin next to my chair. Paid CC bill. Got ready for bed.

grasshopper My DH was researching Teslas at one point and read that due to the chip shortage - cars built in the pandemic were using only about 15% of the required chips in the design. Which means they were retrofitting chips to do double/triple duty or picking the most "valuable" functions. When DH was car shopping recently - the car lots were loaded with Teslas. Depending on when your Prius was built - it might have hit some of the same roadblocks. I know that doesn't really help you - thank goodness for online help about clicking your heels and jumping in the air - but maybe "misery loves company"? . Hope it keeps doing what it is supposed to do - will send good thoughts into the universe!

Hi WITs I'm back from a trip to check out another area across the country for relocation. Success! I found a new state , town, and home that meet all my criteria and more. ... it's not finalized yet and many months before I will actually make the move. Lots of work and details to figure out. phoenixcat- interesting information about the Tesla. I had read that people had a hard time getting bodywork done on them during the pandemic, but didn't know about the chips. grasshopper- car problems are especially stressful when you rely on them to get to work.. Good for you doing the research and getting the car into gear. . good vibes being sent to your Prius for long, reliable functioning. goldenthreads- Thanks for the reminder to make a plan for Christmas. I like your idea for color coding the memo pad edges bed linens to washer swish n swiped BR scooped litters unpack suitcase scrub marks off suitcase ( my light colored suitcase was not a good choice) put the clear protective color over the suitcase

The dentist and hygienist are pleased with my teeth and gums. My teeth felt wonderfully clean, but I lasted only 10 minutes at home before grabbing something to eat. My computer is crawling today. A marketer's dream: At Costco there was a couple looking at the Christmas display of things you didn't know you needed. The man was honest-to-goodness excited about an Advent calendar with (🎺🎶) a can of German beer inside each day's compartment. They walked on to the next display and he sounded almost as excited. I'm not looking down on him, but I don't understand getting a thrill shopping in gigantic stores. Hi, missjean ! Sorry about your air. I'd had the mistaken impression that leaf burning was made illegal everywhere decades ago, but I just looked it up, and I was wrong. You got a lot done after work (I assume) after being away most of the day. Went to Costco for the seasonal exchange of tires. Surveyed many aisles at Costco; bought two items. I ended up breaking into my bag of almonds so I didn't lose my mind from low blood sugar as I waited 1.75 hours. That's with an appointment. Was not up for that. Still recovering. Grumble, grumble, grumble. Bought gas at Costco. The wait was unusually short. Work on boxes. Enter scribbled-down weekend eating (from when I was away from home) in food diary.Order prescription refill.

Ta-da's:
Walked to the mailbox, picked up the mail... (It's beautiful outside!) Stpped at my car, and got yesterday's mail out of my car. Sorted through the mail. Most went into the recycling box Scooped out the kitty litter. (I had not been doing this as regularly as I should.) Found a dried up hairball, near the box and cleaned that up. Took dirty kitchen towels to the laundry room. Called into clutter anonymous, "meditation into action" meeting.
To-do: Found a check from the dental insurance. The receptionist had told me something about forwarding the check to them, but I don't remember the details. I need to call them. Gather additional laundry and start a load. Kitchen? Garden? Go for a walk?
