Good morning seahorse! I don't plan to be on here much today as I have other things going on. Yesterday late afternoon early evening I went out to buy some supplies to refurbish our 40 year-old kitchen cabinets. They are dark stained oak and need a bit of polishing up, but also I decided recently to change the hardware/pulls/knobs. Some of the old ones had broken and many of the others even when I scrubbed them still looked nasty. After I got home I removed a few of the cabinet doors, removed the hardware and cleaned them up, and then had DH put on a product that is supposed to restore the finish. I plan to clean out the cabinets and drawers as we go. This is making me want to get my countertops replaced. They are formica and have chips and are just not in good shape any more. I need a new floor too. ta-da's Prepared and ate breakfast Loaded and started the dishwasher Took a shower and then wiped down the shower walls Scrubbed a toilet. to-do: I'll be going out but sometime today: Empty dishwasher Start a load of laundry Make a template for drilling new holes for hardware on cabinets. Clean out cabinets and drawers decluttering as I go.

Hello all!
ta-da's: Emptied the dishwasher Started a load of laundry Watered houseplants Reinstalled on of the kitchen drawers that we are giving a facelift. Replaced some of the contents. How many knives does one need? I have a knife block on the counter that is full of knives that I rarely use. and I had about 15 or so shoved in this drawer. There are some that I use regularly, and some just about never. I will be donating several knives and a sharpening steel (I have 2)
to-do: Move laundry to the dryer Do a bit more tidying up in the kitchen More tidying up in the bathroom?

yrwelcome When we moved - I ordered a package of boxes from U-Haul online and they delivered. It was especially helpful with wardrobe boxes. And, if you have a U-Haul facility nearby - you can return any you don't use. At least that is the way it was 8 years ago . I also used Home Depot a lot for boxes. I found the smaller ones to be easiest to use for heavy things especially. With the large ones it is tempting to overload and then you can't lift both a cumbersome and very heavy box. If you are using a moving company - sometimes they supply used boxes at a very discounted rate. And if you are packing and moving yourself - grocery stores and/or dollar stores will let you have really good sturdy boxes for free. But they are usually pretty specific as to when you can pick them up.
