Happy Friday all! Very wintry here with several inches of snow. Bake sale cancelled alas, but I managed to sell most things at work, so will have to make even more for the rearranged sale on Tuesday!
Done: Watered plants Cleared a lot of trash from the living room table and surrounds Done some tidying in the kitchen Cleared dining table
To do this weekend: I want to do laundry tomorrow I need to make more fudge and gingerbread I may wait until that is done to properly clean the kitchen I've noticed allergies in the morning, so want to vacuum the bedroom, change the bed linen and turn the mattress

Hi TML, scholar and reve!
TML, you also have 2 weeks off, yay for getting housework done!
I finished my personal cards and it's too late to send any more military cards, but I've been writing out a few on the card request list. I will continue that through the weekend and mail them on Monday, that will be the last of them. I just can't believe Christmas is just a little more than a week away!
Time now for dinner and then I'll get ready for bed--good night everyone, see you tomorrow in the weekend thread!
Diane

one load of laundry washing DH lost his phone/ He thinks it might have fallen out of his pocket at work. He drove back and is walking around the parking lot looking....I am calling on repeat hoping it lights up and catches his eye. so far it isnt working
I really had hoped to get something done tonight but I am stuck and spinning in circles. I just keep looking at the piles, moving something from one pile to the other, then walking away.
OK - maybe I will go finish loading the dishwasher and washing one utem.

reve I get two weeks off too from work - YAY! I am off starting today 17 days off. I have so much to get done (and I hope I dont get sick) while I am off. Maybe if you have the time we can be organizing/house buddies! bree I know how that goes…. Work chaos! We had same thing happened to me almost. I did get it moved and insisted that they write the timelines down right. It was last minute change even though we had discussed for last three weeks waiting on them and telling them everything shuts down but instead they moved timeline up by months at last minute (day before we are all off) and wanted to write down that it was to be working on over the next two weeks (over holiday and due day after we got back to set on shelf for 2 months). I was like no. Several people had already taken off for holiday early and I was not ruining everyones Christmas at last minute for no reason (especially while the person who did not take care of timing and wanted to give it to us last minute enjoyed their holiday off while we worked).

Yes, staying well so important! Cases of everything are rising in my neck of the woods, so I am going to increase my awareness of risk so I can decrease it! OF course I want to go shopping tomorrow... maybe I can go early. its not to late to prep for this tonight.
Meanwhile, I have been making a list and checking it twice. Heated up leftovers. I'm wrapping gifts now.

Hi y’all. Not a good productive week as far as home stuff goes. Work week was more pleasant. Yay! (Rarity…) one kinda bad time over phone with my boss, but oh well. That was just one of those normal type bad work moments that’s not enuff to ruin an afternoon. Just a bad few moments of criticisms & feeling as tho yelled at. Made to feel rotten for all of … maybe 10 minutes at most. 👍😎
A few nights just crashed when I got home. Yesterday after work, went gift shopping at Target. Bought 4 gifts & a box of Hanukkah candles. Also, found some very soft, hopefully warm socks for DMom. Bought them with her account. Hope they wash well. The warm, wool ones felt scratchy to me.
Of the 2 orders of socks that I made for her during the week. I’m hoping a few pairs will work. In the same package of one of them, some socks are smaller—like they threw in a couple kid sized. Ridiculous. Not worth the time to send back. I’m holding to get at least 5 pairs from the 2 orders. I’ll try them on today, but my feet are smaller than hers, but I’m far more sensitive to seams & things. So, will just have the caregivers try them.
If anyone was wanting to give the boxed set of illustrated Harry Potter books as a gift, got them for $76 at Target. $81 on line with Amazon prime free shipping. $120 at Barnes & Noble. Btw, the staff at Target were absolutely amazing last night. The very nicest & helpful!! Also, even the other shoppers were very nice. This was so great to be part of. All different nationalities & races—such warmth & friendliness was an encouragement. Most everyone so focused on what they were shopping for. But when initiating a few pleasantries or comments, just ended up feel good moments.
