We ran errands this morning and got home before the snow started I make it a habit to take the fluff out of the dryer, you know the lint, and anyway we throw a handful into the trees in a quiet area for either the birds bedding or squirrels. Probably every couple of weeks or so. I wonder if they use it.... who knows.
I got the 5 large bath towels in the wash and now they are in the dryer. Should make abit more critter bedding.

Good morning oust! I don't know if the animals use lint for their nests, all I know is that squirrel nests in particular seem to defy the strongest winds. There were several in the park across from where I used to live and there was a storm once with sustained strong winds that knocked garbage cans and furniture and dry tree branches all over the neighborhood. But the squirrel nests didn't move from the trees! They must have some clever way of attaching them to the tree branches.

Hello all!
Snowy snowy day here. Very poor visibility
I am at work. Commute in was just before the snow. I might try to leave early
Last night I did go to bed early. My house was so cold so I went upstairs to get under my covers after all were fed and watered and puppy had her time out (after her walk). It was so wonderful. I had made my bed (trying to get back on routine) and so it was neat and I out an extra heavy blanket on top so such a comforting feeling. Probably best sleep I can remember in a long time
Puppy did wake me at 2:45. I let her out as she was barking and jawing at door. She came back in and I was able to fall back asleep!!!
I am just so happy to have such a sleep!!
Today I had (so far) two Chaos meetings snd one regular meeting. I have two meetings to go. I told chais meetings did not energize me and could we meet less. At least I said it!
This morning was a poop morning!!! Cleaned litter and did backyard patrol.
Packed lunch Fed animals Got ready
Here I am!

Well it is only Weds and I feel like I have lived through a week already. I did all of that shoveling on monday and only worked half a day (but it was flat out all afternoon) Had a virtual meeting monday night.
Tuesday I got up and did a few things (including a lovely hot shower and even washed my hair) and got ready to take my dad to his cardiologist appointment. The doctor was very arrogant (he was much nicer the last time we met). I was having an exceptionally difficult time getting my dad in and out of the car (he wasnt using his right arm at all). I could not understand what he was saying - it came out garbled...all gobbledy gook. The nurse and I agreed to send him to the ER for an evaluation as he had classic stroke symptoms.
After Xrays and CAT scans and an MRI - he was sent back. No sign of stroke or heart attack. the only thing they found was a damaged esophagus probably from years of GERD.
I was hesitant about bringing him back myself as I was having such difficulty getting him in and out of the car so I allowed the hospital to call for medical transportation back to his facility. It meant he had to wait a bit to go back, but he yelled at me to go home and go to bed so I did. And I am trying to not feel guilty about it. He has insurance that will pay for it.
I did go to work today and have been plugging along - been very busy as a matter of fact. Then I get a text from my oldest son. He had a physical today for a new job - and they sent him from the physical straight to the ER. I think his blood pressure is high. Years of drinking and crappy eating probably caught up to him.
Tonight I will go help my mom take a shower. I already changed their bedding and put on fresh sheets over the weekend. I spent Sunday washing the comforter, blanket and mattress pad as well as running my mom around to get new sneakers. Which now she tells me are too tight. I dont know if they will stretch out as she wears them.
So I am debating leaving work early as my son might need a ride from the ER. He has a lovely new girl friend - maybe she will get him.
We are suppose to be getting another storm. We had some steady flurries from late morning through lunch but they have stopped. It is supposed to start back up again dinnertime/evening. All afterschool activities have been cancelled. It will be interesting to see how much actually accumulates and the temp is fluctuating between 32 - 34 degrees.
OK - and my phone keeps ringing so off I go!

Good afternoon bree and ohblondie!
I told chais meetings did not energize me and could we meet less.
Oh, good for you! You should add up the number of hours (actual) that you spent in her meetings this week and see how many hours out of 40 that you got to spend actually working on the job you had the meetings about. That way if she says anything else about it you will be armed with facts.
I could not understand what he was saying - it came out garbled.
Well, that's scary, good that he wasn't having a stroke.
The snow seems to have stopped--it was weird, after I shoveled this morning, the new snow that fell on the sidewalks melted...and a lot more fell--I guess the daytime temperature was warm enough for it to melt even though it accumulated during the night. Every day for the next 5 shows possible snow showers, but only one weekend day with accumulation.
When I'm finished with lunch I'm going to try to clean off my desk surfaces, they are full of stuff again. Then it will be time for my phone call.

Ohblondie, probably not much help, but if its dads right side, have him sit behind you when you take him out then he needs to use his left side more. What do you think?
We had some snow now the maintenance people are all out in their machines. It should be cleared up soon i think.
DH brought up the two 5 gallon jugs of water that we filled More groceries up from the car kind of cleared off the counter but don't see much happening around here tonight Towels are dry and ready to go away.

Hi all Hard day at work and home today, though the good news is that boyfriend is not being laid off as he has been worrying about all week. He's still upset by upheaval at his work, but at least he is secure for now and we don't have to worry about suddenly going down to a single income. Exhausted today, so no big decluttering sessions.
Done: Vacuumed downstairs Handled mail Set out clothes for tomorrow Achieved dining table zero Achieved coffee table zero

 I can only imagine, scholar!
Reve, that's wonderful news about your boyfriend keeping his job!
I didn't get much done after my phone call, I took the dog out again and made dinner. When I was out late this afternoon it seemed like a lot of the snow was melting off of surfaces, so if we have another day over freezing tomorrow it might all melt away.
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow!

She was pulling and jumping and leaping like crazy as she so loves the snow -cute but I felt battered! Took trash and recycling to curb Did some texting That’s it! In bed now hoping for a repeat of last night’s blissful sleep Gnite all!
