phoenixcat Thanks for your supportive post. I only wish that my master bathroom remodel had been something planned. It was really something decided upon literally 2 days before. Wishing you a gorgeous bathroom!!! My DH wanted the bath/shower made into just a shower for about a month. But all the rest was just decided upon at the last moment. Don’t most “normal” people plan these things out?! We moved back into a hotel the night before last. The whole interior except the kitchen, laundry area, garage & master closet is being painted. It’s been 30+ years (since we first moved in) & the house has cracks, etc & have to rebuild part of a wall in DS’s old room. It really does need painting & we must fix the wall where we had the big leak over 2 years ago. The leak was repaired & carpet removed but wall wasn’t repaired. Oh yeah, did I mention the new floor in the Master Bath had to be redone completely? They let the thin set dry before putting the tile down. So, it would have started cracking etc real soon. Ghah! But good news is I’m getting a new floor that I like much better. Prettier. 👍🙂 Deleted 12 emails. dtesposito you are motivating me. I also need to delete some from Google drive. Cd

Last night I travelled to a town up north to get a prescription for my mom and the disposable underwear. I treated myself to a $9 pair of black dress pants that were in a long size. This way I can wear a heeled shoe.
I dropped off my mom's medication (it has to go in the fridge - special eye drops) and some of the disposable underwear. My mom is trying to decide if she wants to keep it or get another brand.
I went home and ate leftovers (finished them off) and loaded the dishwasher and tried to do a general tidy. I cleaned out the pot holder drawer. I identified several that can and will be donated. I think I will donate as many as I can then bring the potholder's from my mom's house to my house.
I have some bills to pay for the apartment we rent (inspection fee, garbage fee and water bill). I am going to get them together and run over during lunch to get them paid. I also got a check back from the hospital. After them dogging me to pay a bill, they just sent me a refund check for the bill. So I have to deposit that check - which I can do a mobile deposit on my phone.
these little things add up.
Tonight is dinner and a show!! Our HS is presenting their musical and I am meeting some friends for dinner at 5:30. They are going on to the show after dinner, I am going to the show tomorrow afternoon. I cant wait!
OK- back to work for me!

According to the radar we are under a blue cloud right now but there is no snow falling.  I've just about given up hope for snow.

desposito When I drove to the town north of here to get my mom's medicine, the skies were so "heavy" and dark with clouds. Behind me the sun was shining through. It looked like a snow sky - that snow was definitely in our forecast. there are 4 weather models our weather forecasters use. the models ranged from 6.5 inches to 14 inches. there is no agreement on our storm for the weekend. I bought sausage and bacon and eggs and english muffins to make us all a nice breakfast in the am. No matter how much we get - we wont be going anywhere first thing in the am.

Thanks peaceseeker hope you feel good Today is a Day of Peace as the pup is at daycare! So far: Put the clean dishes away had breakfast took puppy to daycare had a glitch at work with a vendor’s software - thank goodness they created a work around so got an important task done took a shower had a meeting with chaos it went OK found to my great delight an afternoon meeting is canceled so just one more heading to lunch soon probably will run to Aldi‘s to get a few items right now girl cat is sitting on my lap, a nice little warm lump Boycat is very active on puppy daycare days- it kind of makes me sad that boycat has never accepted puppy after nearly 2 1/2 years and has to live w a dog he does not like girlcat is more tolerant- neither one of the cats really like puppy (she seems to love both of them) but whenever puppy is at daycare, boy cat always wants to play -so I spent some time this morning tossing his little cat toys around the living room, letting him in and out, giving him a treat ..now he’s hunkered down happy it’s Friday! A snowstorm is heard our way too! |

I forgot to add - Last night I finally got that pesky load of light colored clothes in the wash and hung to dry.
My DH has not worked his night job all week (he fell and injured his ribs and was too sore to work). So I will not have his usual load of jeans and work sweatshirts.
I will have a load of jeans for my son, a load of darks then a load of lights for him. I do not think I will have enough for a load of darks for me. Easy weekend!
I will have to do a quick refrigerator clean out. that is pretty easy - I save it til the garbage bag is almost full so that I can take the rash right out. Otherwise the dog thinks the trash can is a 5 star restaurant for her to dine in.

It was promised by a certain date. she waited and never heard. Today I followed up on it and was told decision has been delayed and it could mean good news so employee should be glad decision was not made. I suggested to tell employee on the decision day that it was being delayed rather than hearing nothing. blank stares like I speak another language.

This is what I mean bree, so many people don't care! They don't care about doing a good job and they don't care how their decisions affect other people.
I took the dog out (very cold and blustery out there, still no snow) and had lunch. Now I'm ready for a nap!

The call wasn't too long because she was getting ready to go out shopping "before the snow comes."
And then, after the call I took the dog out and while I was out there, it did start snowing! It's light and wet, so it doesn't seem to be sticking yet. I don't think it's going to get as far north as she is, though.
