I used up motel shampoo and hair conditioner. Also took the almost empty hand sanitizer and wiped some surfaces with it. I do have one more almost empty hand sanitizer bottle.  , so I'm not the only one to use that as a cleaner.

I just thought of a couple more things. Back in my Early Dumb Shopping Channel Days I bought a ton of microfiber face cloths for makeup removal. I only tried some, hated how dirty they looked even after washing, so demoted them to rags.
Every now and then I stared at the rest, wondering what to do with them. Then I hit on using them to dry shampoo'd hair. They work perfectly, even better than regular towels, and never look dirty or worn.
In the food category I've started to make RamenRoni, to use up ramen noodles packs. You have to buy six at a shot, so I just toss in some minute rice before it's done, and get a quick, easy side dish.

I recently discovered a neatly tucked away container of tea in a cupboard. Today I finished drinking the last of it.

I just went through my eight billion scented candles, tossed some stubs, near-empties, gave away a few, but then re-arranged eveything so the ones I want to use up first are in front and visible (more to the point, REACHABLE).

I thought I'd used something up... I was recently surprised that I had apparently used up my supply of little note pads that are exactly the right size. So I went and bought a multi-pack of about ten, which is how they're sold. Well, only half of them fit in the desk drawer where I keep them. I thought about where a good place to put the other half was, and opened the bottom desk drawer to put them there.  
There was the other half of the previously bought multi-pack. This time I am not counting on memory. I put a note to myself under the last pad in the top desk drawer: "There are more mini-pads in bottom file drawer." |

I should not be allowed to have storage containers. I went to put the shower head I bought into the hall bath. Pulled out a plastic container from under the vanity. I threw out the meds and the vitamins and hair goop products. All years out of date.. 2015 I think.

I know what you mean about the containers, beesnest. Years ago, Don Aslett, a writer of books about cleaning, decluttering and organizing, called such containers junk bunkers. I'm not all the way convinced, but I know that I've completely lost track of things in bins, baskets, and boxes. I really like those things. Buying them and using them makes me feel organized and in control. Oof. Anyway, good job on getting rid of the contents. |

goldenthreads, what happened to you with note pads, happened to me with toothpaste. I ordered three gigantic tubes because I thought we were out of it. After they arrived, I found more unopened toothpaste in the powder room.

I just added some baby carrots to a pot of chicken and rice. They were a bit past their prime, I did trim off some ends of those that sprouted.  |

Okay, it happens to me with notepads, too. I just culled a bunch for giveaway (there is a VVA pickup scheduled next week). And I still have a ton of them.

Years ago, I bought balsamic vinegar and I don't like it. So why did I buy two bottles? 
Anyway, I'm using it up in sauces and glazes.

I ate up some hand-me-down blueberries and carrots. Handed off some excess tomatoes and zucchini to daughter.
