I have been trying to eat up all the food in my cupboards and freezer so I can organize them without having to pull a bunch of stuff out. I probably have expired canned goods and freezer-burned vegetables too.

I have a ton of cookie tins. My latest brainstorm: make guitars out of them.

Thanks, def6! Haven't gotten past the studying and materials collecting stage yet... hoping to scrounge a neck, a bridge, and other things from our own junk.
Does tossing things count? Not only did I collect a bag full of Donation nail polish, but threw out four or five ancient bottles that got too thick to deal with.

I tried to use up the food in the refrigerator this past weekend. I guess I didn't like it very much... because I lost some weight

I am definitely up for this challenge I have so much partially used things that is cluttering up my space and just want to figure ouit what I have before buying anything more. Thinking I may break this challenge down into 3 areas: kitchen, bathroom and crafts. The first area I will focus on is the crafts since I am focusing on my bedroom right now.

I just remembered this: I had an old egg 'timer' (solid, heavy glass or acrylic... you put it in the pot with the eggs and boiled it with them and it changed color with degrees of doneness).
One day it stopped working. I've used it as a paperweight ever since.

I have that same kind of egg timer. I love it and I use it all the time. Got my first one in 1987. They usually last about 5 years, then the layers begin to separate and it stops working. I buy another and toss the dead one in landfill. Let's see... if I'd kept them all, I'd have about 7 or 8 paperweights by now. I sure have enough paper to justify it. But my cat helps by sleeping on the piles.

I ate dinner from just using it up. I made a big salad out of spinach, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, feta cheese, nutritional yeast and walnuts.

Went through one box of crafts and was able to donate over half of the items to my church for our youth ministry and anything too small i finally threw them away since I have too much right now. I was also able to use up a bottle of shampoo.
