I went outside for another half hour, we did get half an inch of rain this morning, and some more plants fell over. I staked some of them, and then I did some weeding although the ground is a little too soggy for that. There are more plants that need staking in the back part of the yard, but since the next 6 days are not supposed to go over 90, I'm going to wait to do more yard work--the brief cool off with the rain is over and now it's hot and muggy again. I tried to put the yard waste can at the street but the neighbor has two cars parked out there and I have to wait until they move one of them, which means I'll have to go out again.
I'm going to place a small Walmart delivery order for tomorrow, and then I'll have lunch.

My neighbor moved a car so I went out and put the can out, and then I put some more bird seed on the back porch. When I looked over the railing at the yard, I saw a black swallowtail and a young rabbit! The rabbit was lying on the lawn, nibbling something found among the grass.
I should be able to do a few more lists this afternoon, I'm going to tackle a procrastinated task, a thorough cleaning of every part of the kitchen sink.

My shopping friend called, she needed me to buy a wrist brace for her. We only talked an hour this time, but she has more things for me to buy so she will probably call again tomorrow.
I'm going to do one more list because I'm almost done with the kitchen sink and want to finish it today.

Evening all! It has been so muggy here today everyone is feeling awful. I've come to bed early because I just feel wilted in this weather! Decorator is supposed to come tomorrow so I had to push through and finish strong. I'm really proud of how much we've done this week, but also how much easier it has been compared to big cleans in the past. Getting rid of things at the recycling centre today felt so much easier now that I have strengthened that muscle, and while I feel tired from doing a lot,I didn't feel like it was fuelled by toxic stress with accompanying nausea and bad thoughts. I feel more relaxed in my house now the spaces are clearer and I can move more freely. I toom a bunch of photos this evening before coming up to bed and sent them over to mum to boast and celebrate my accomplishments. It's a nice feeling to be able to be proud of something in the house. There is still a long way to go - the cupboard off my kitchen is exploding with stuff so that will be a big summer project, and the spare room has become a dumping ground again - but I'm proud of how far I've come. Thank you all for the support in getting this far and I look forward to continuing in this journey with you all.
Done: Handled mail Broke down cardboard for recycling Took a car load to the recycling centre Achieve floor clothes zero Assembled new spin Mop- I admit I caved to all those online videos but I want something that will get into the kickboards in my kitchen Assembled new hallway lamp Sprayed down shower Clear air dryer Fold and bag laundry Boyfriend to dust en suite Boyfriend to clean toilet Take clean laundry upstairs General PUPA living room Stuffed animals to spare room Fold blankets neatly Cleaned bathroom sink Dusted downstairs bathroom Bleached toilet Dust pantry shelves Wipe down worktops Quick wipe of stove and toaster Boyfriend dusted en suite Boyfriend cleaned toilet master bathroom Achieved coffee table zero Achieved dining table zero Bleached toilet master bathroom Cleaned sink master bathroom Cleaned shower surrounds Cleaned bath rim Wiped down outside of toilet master bathroom Put away clean laundry Set out clothes for tomorrow

Wow scholar, 65th anniversary, that's amazing!
Reve, sounds like you've come a long way, not just with the physical decluttering, but mentally as well.
I just went out to the backyard again, I did some weeding, filled up the water bowls, and staked some more plants. During that half hour or so, I got about 6 mosquito bites, so things are picking up there--I hope my dunk buckets are reducing the potential population. One of the bites may not be from a mosquito, it's sort of oblong instead of round, with a little trailing tail on it...weird, I will keep an eye on it. I did look see several bees, mostly on the monarda, but one on a zinnia--the first time I've seen a bee on a zinnia this year.
I'm going to eat dinner now and then get ready for bed--good night all, see you in the morning!

I have a dogsit dog coming to stay tomorrow so I need to get the floors all picked up and swept. There is real squalor on the floor. I should go buy a new dustpan since I couldn’t find mine at all last time and the pile of dirt is still in the corner.
Daily complaint about nose/sinus/throat problems.
Break down of some tasks: Collect puzzles and stack in corner for now. Garbage Recycling Eat my chicken and find a vegetable. Then lemon squares. Reboot laundry
It’s a race to do this before work! 🏇

Puppybox--wow, haven't seen you in a long time! Good luck getting ready for your visiting dog--dogsitting in house is something I always thought I would like to do if I ever found myself without dogs or cats, but now that it's happened I don't think I could handle it. Maybe if I had backup here, but not alone. Yes, treat yourself to a new dustpan!
Good morning everyone, I was waiting for my Walmart order to come and instead of coming just after 8 like the last times, it came around 9. I have put away the frozen/refrigerated items.

Hi Diane! Dogsitting is both easy and hard, depending on lots of stuff. New dogs even if I walk them regularly before are very nervous for 24 hours. And stuff does get broken! I’m not precious about a lot of my stuff. I have too much anyway so ty dog for making decisions for me, haha. Some people keep saying I should get another dog but it would make it too hard to do dogsitting and I need/want the money.
I made a valiant attempt on my list getting it mostly done, and working well beyond the point at which I would have stopped had I not had posting here that I did it in mind.
Especially returning to the laundry room with the right change after having gone with the wrong change the first time. It’s 3 flights away no elevator.
For fun: What is everyone’s favourite bird? I’m a little scared of birds up close, and they hurt my ears, so I like the pigeon best. They are gentle and not high pitched. Also the blue footed booby (you MUST watch their mating dance) but I’ve never seen one in real life.

puppybox I like towhees because they're pretty and I can watch them on the ground under shrubs. I like seeing nuthatches travel face-forward down tree trunks. Ouzels are plain little birds, insectivores, that amazingly hold their own in fast-moving water. I've only seen an ouzel once at a small rapids. Here's a video for you:
From the Audubon site (dipper = ouzel): Most food is caught underwater. The Dipper may walk with only its head submerged, or may dive, "flying" underwater and walking on the bottom, probing under stones in streambed. Also will swim on surface to pick up floating insects. Occasionally takes insects from streamside rocks, rarely makes short flights to catch insects in mid-air.

I stopped for lunch.
I would have stopped had I not had posting here that I did it in mind
Yes, this is how posting here helps me too.
Golden, I had never heard of an ouzel before! If I had to choose a favorite wild bird I would say chickadee, because I like their little round bodies and the whistling call they make. I don't see or hear them much out here, not like in my old neighborhood. Favorite domesticated bird would be the Amazon parrot, only because I knew one when I worked at an animal hospital and this bird had the best personality ever. She would scat sing, and she would yell "bye-bye" to everyone who walked out the door of the room she was in. I have no idea if all Amazon parrots are like that but I loved that bird.
