Good morning! Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
The handyman will be here in an hour and we have a trip to the hardware store first thing. Luckily it is still nice and cool outside.
Have a good day, everyone!

Peed dog. Ate nutritious food. Necessary caffeine drinks. Took vitamins. Realised could not breathe through nose, Took medicine.
Washed off foam floor mats. Picked up laundry. Was hairy. This dog needs to be brushed and idk where the brush is.
Need to fetch laundry from upstairs. Feed cat (later but must remember). Walk dog Meeting up with dog friend at some point.
Undefined decluttering that takes more effort to define than do, but there’s a huge amount of it.

Today is an errand day. Many stops to make, but it will feel so good to be done with the errands. I am a little nervous about one of the errands, but it’s okay. I am letting someone get in my head with negativity,
Done

We went to help DD last night. I was happy to see her DH helping. He works two jobs during the week so I cut him some slack then, but on weekends it is all hands on deck.
He and I finished up the last lingering dishes. We organized a couple of drawers and cabinets just so we could get stuff put away.
Some nasties from the back deck came in to be washed and put away. That felt good.
DH put in an outlet and we had dinner together then went to a new ice cream place in town.
My schedule is now out of whack. DH used to go to work at 10am for his part time job. Now he goes in at Noon. That two hours has thrown me.
I made some cookies for DS. They are the break and bake sugar cookies with the American flag in them. I dropped them off at his shop. While I was there I watered the plants. And he inspected my car.
Now I am at the laundromat washing bedding and jeans.
I had some of my morning coffee on the deck. Now I am taking time to read.
I will check in later

Happy Monday, everyone!
Yesterday I did not post; I had quite a weekend my head is kind of spinning with thoughts
Saturday I drove to a small city about an hour and a half way to pick up a Marketplace order and also to have lunch with a friend of mine; it was very sweet. She had a beautiful spread ready for us. DD came along which was an unexpected treat. The trip and lunch took up a good chunk of the day. One thing my head was spinning by was this friend is starting to talk about issues of women empowerment although we are nearing retirement, she grew up in a very traditional home. She was told her choices were to be a teacher, a secretary, or a mother And she’s just now thinking about the limits she accepted. My parents basically told me I could be whatever I wanted and our lives turned out differently. I was glad for my life experience though parts certainly have been hard. She married young, had babies right away and moved to the small city has been there ever since , iy is not a bad life ir anything but I think she wonders about diff y choices. it was just a lot to think about.
And Sunday I went to church with a relative of mine- the relative can be very hard to take, and we had an unfortunate experience. This person talked at length in negative terms about their daughter-in-law then said that they had made a comment to the daughter-in-law that the daughter-in-law found insulting and asked them to stop. They said they didn’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I said I could see how that would not be what you’d wanna hear… This telative said that I had said something similar to them 17 years ago …hurt them deeply and that they prayed about it and it was OK because they forgave me! I said i don’t recall saying that 17 years ago , this person said so you’re calling me a liar!!! I said no I am saying I dint remember dayimg it. They Created a drama and basically stormed out of the house! . This person has created so much drama over the course of my life I’m just so exhausted from it. I was determined to not let it put a damper on my day. But hard. This person is so consistent in being a trouble maker!
This morning I started a load of laundry. I swept the floor. I fed the animals , put away the clean dishes. I cleaned up the backyard from dog toys in case the lawn guy comes. I also placed an ad online to get someone to come do some yardwork due to my more limited mobility with my knee
I’m at work, it’s kind of a mess at work. We’re so behind on so many projects!
Our house ended up so filled with treats over the weekend. DD went out and she brought home some treats -when we went out to lunch we were sent home with wonderful baked goods and we had some things in the house so I just ate very badly. today’s a new day a new start.

My mother also faced the limited choices at age 22 for middle class women didnt like the idea of any of them and instead joined the peace corps and lived in Africa. She was extremely happy to not have to get married, or whatever the other allowed things were and to do something different instead.
I walked the dog and played music. I’m very hungry again.
To do: Cook and eat. Fetch laundry Ruthlessly attack plant clutter

Getting home from the laundromat at 130 PM has my schedule so out of whack. My mattress pad and some jeans are out on the deck in the sun as they came home wet/damp
I am trying to figure out what to do next. either clean a bathroom or organize under the sink. Novel thought - I can do both! I think I will clean one bathroom, do the sink, then the other bathroom. The bathrooms will need some scrubbing!
Off I go.

Two bathrooms are clean though the downstairs bathroom sink could use a bit more love. While downstairs I handwashed some of what was in the sink - the coffee mugs and water bottles.
I think I mentioned (whined) a bit back that my dad's nursing home is closing. I have been running all over, taking tours and filling out applications. Today I got a call that my dad has been offered and accepted a bed in the county nursing home. The home is fairly new. The original home was a typical 1980's nursing home that looked like a hospital, two in a room, smelled like urine etc. They tore down that building and built a new one that looks a bit more up to date, Private rooms, a dining area in each wing, a free hair cut each month. If he runs out of money, they cant kick him out and will transition him to a public funded bed.
Over the weekend I will pack up his stuff.
My DD had a dr appt today and she was told she was nowhere near delivering...boo....she is so uncomfortable Her bedroom furniture has arrived so I guess we will spend the 4th getting the room set up
ok - now to tackle under the sink

Fetched laundry. Fed cat. Cat had knocked over water poor baby. Though what he really wanted was food. Cooked and ate efficiently. Did some of unpleasant plant tasks.

I’ve cast a magic spell to find your checks. @twinkletoes There was no check emoji so I improvised. Just for fun 🧚♀️!
I recognize that crazy relative. That’s a person with a cluster B personality disorder. Borderline or narcissistic or histrionic or another. Summary: everything they do is to cover up their deep intrinsic shame created in childhood. That’s why they can’t just not say x to daughter. That’s why they can never admit they ever do anything wrong. It would mean destroying their sense of self which is a very flimsy fiction they’ve created. If they say they do anything wrong it would mean they are terrible people, and would feel bad. They have to be validated always. They cannot be normal. At any time they may strike out suddenly like a snake if you trigger their primal wound.
Oh crud I forgot I have to walk the dog up a hill. P*** s### grrrr.

Good afternoon all, the handyman has gone home and I have eaten a very late lunch. He has finished up all the outstanding projects except porch painting, which will have to wait for cooler weather. There is also one new project still to do, putting a couple of shelves up in my living room, but we will wait a couple of weeks for that.
As usual, I stayed out most of the time while he was working, it wasn't horribly hot but it wasn't pleasant either, I had to drink a lot of water and do a lot of resting. While he worked I did some watering, some weeding, and I redid the 2 currrent mosquito dunk buckets (they have to be redone every 3-4 weeks) plus made 2 new ones.
Since the handyman did more tree pruning (mulberry trees grow faster than any other tree, I'm sure) I now have a lot more branches to cut down to fit the yard waste can. The can is currently about 3/4 full and has to be put out tomorrow, so before it does I'll have to fill up that last quarter.
But I don't think I'll get much done for the rest of the day, I'm tired and sore.
I will read back and see what everyone did today.

Visited client. Exercised dogsitting dog. She went for a little run alongside the bike. Her super happy gallop made some guy break out in a huge grin.
To try to get out out finishing my plant tasks I have invited self to someone’s house for pizza, but haven’t heard back. I may cook frozen pizza here. Hate using the oven.
I hope I didn’t offend or annoy people here today with my comments. I certainly didn’t mean to. I like playing and also learning and then sharing things I’ve learned. I sometimes offend people without knowing and I am sorry if I do that.
I am giving outside pizza another hopeful 5 min.
