Good morning, Diane! Yes, just a quick overnight camping trip. I love coneflowers! It took a bit for mine to spread, but they seem to be thriving and spreading in the heat this year. I planted them probably six years ago. I planted several bee and butterfly friendly plants several years ago and this year, I have so many bees. It makes me happy to see them happy buzzing about. They are loving my hydrangeas more than usual this year. It’s also in the upper 80s at 8 a.m. this morning here, with heat warnings for the afternoon. It’s supposed to get up to a heat index of 107!
DONE
Found two checks in my car! Yayyyyy! Cleaned out passenger seat of car Couldn’t find car registration - applied for duplicate copy online - printed temporary one Couldn’t find car insurance card - attempted to reprint and my online account is locked. Got a hold of customer care. They emailed duplicate and I printed it + yayyyyyy Returned friends text Finished writing my to do list for today Dusted master bath Removed expired food from fridge Put away all dry dishes Loaded dishwasher and turned it on Handwashed pots and pans Made two pitchers of tea Took morning meds

Oh TT, I'm so glad you have so many bee friendly flowers! I never planted coneflowers until last year, because I didn't like the way they smelled--but I realized just like the stinky milkweed blooms (okay, most people think they smell great, it's just me and my weird sense of smell) that I have to tolerate them for the bees and butterflies. So next year, more coneflowers for sure. And they really are pretty.
I hope you're going camping with people you like!
I'm still waiting for my groceries, looks like I'll be in the last quarter of the delivery time frame. I tried calling my decluttering client while waiting, but as soon as I pressed the talk button there was a busy signal as well as the usual sound of the phone dialing and ringing. I tried a couple times and got the same thing, so I hung up and sent her a text instead saying I would try to call her later. Hopefully nothing is permanently wrong with my phone--it IS Comcast phone service...but, I have to admit that their phone service has rarely given me any problems, unlike cable and internet.

Good morning scholar!
TT, are those the 2 checks that you were looking for last week?
I got an email from WM saying my order will be delayed up to 2 hours. Lucky that I don't have to go anywhere, I just hope my frozen stuff is still in a freezer, not sitting in someone's car!
I might as well start doing something useful.
TO DO:
10 minutes on plants Fill bird seed and squirrel food jars Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

Hmm, this WM order was not the best. First they said 3 items were out of stock and wouldn't be delivered, okay. Then they arrived 45 minutes after the time frame. Then 2 items that they said were delivered weren't there. So I had to ask for a refund. Oh well, the produce and the coleslaw I've been craving were delivered, I guess that's the most important part. Maybe it's because it's the day after a holiday, I will try not to order too close to a holiday again.
Now I have to finish my last list.

Diane, Yes, they were the two checks I thought I had lost on Monday morning. It was a huge relief to find them! Scholar, thanks for that info. In my state, you have to provide hard copies to the inspection station. I just scrubbed my shower and it was physically exhausting. Decided to knock out some paperwork tasks afterwards.

Happy fifth of July!! Diane the saga of your WM order! TwinkleToes glad you found your checks. are you tent camping? rustic? I am off today for the most part. I have one big project I want to get done so I asked the vendor to text me with any updates so I can move things along. So I will just subtract that time from my vacation time. Yesterday I did drive to the picnic. 1.5 hours. I like to drive but as I went, I realized i was really tired! I stayed at the picnic about 2.5 hours. It was nice to be invited, nice to have an event, it is way out in rural america, not a place I spend much time in. A very small town in very rural part. very different world for me. I admit, i like my world better l o l after that, I was home alone. took pup for a walk. it was so hot and muggy. not many people around, just a few. I go to a cemetery a lot and there are almost always a few dog walkers, a few walkers, and a mourner or two. I ended up tagging along with my sis and her family to go to fireworks last night. I love them and I love sitting in the crowd adding my ohhs and ahhs to the crowd! I am fortunate in that my little animal tribe is not bothered by loud noises at all. DD was off all day, she had a great time. today I am lollygagging again! One thing was that last night when I arrived home from our dog walk, I realized puppy had lost her collar. (I use leash on her harness). it was too dark to go looking, so this morning I got up and went to the place we walked and found it! she likes to rub against a chain link fence and I guess it pulled it off. after I found that, i came home and took happy puppy to daycare!! we all LOVE daycare days. Puppy is the type that pretty much needs/wants constant attention, high energy, always here at my feet... so such a break for me that I can walk into the backyard or take out recycling w out it being a big production and a plea to play fetch. i can just walk out and walk in . I love pup but that is so nice. and the cats just love being able to move around w out her especially boycat. puppy is just full of love and means well, we just get tired. I have been lounging around. I have to take girlcat to the vet today for a check up late afternoon, which I dread as it will stress her so. She is 20 plus so I can finally generally catch her for her carrier. She then meows very very loudly. ugh. I want to do a few things -- put clean sheets on my bed, sort through my cooking stuff to purge, and put some clothes away, get sorted, and also list two things on marketplace. but now I feel like napping I am always torn on vacation days -- be a slug or get stuff done???

so today was trash day. I had brought bin to street last night. This is TMI but by trash is sooo gross. We can use if for animal waste, so mine is like 3/4 litter box trash, and then puppy is a prolific pooper, so lots of puppy poop bags. In this heat is stunk so badly, and some gross stuff happened inside with a bag leaking and creating a big mess... so I just washed it out with soap and water.
next - get to cooking baking bowl purge

Stopping for lunch, finally, and a reading break.
Bree, I had that problem when I had the dog, now nothing stinky goes in there--I have a compost bin for old fruit and veggies. BUT, my yard waste bin smells awful in summer if I keep it closed up--like, really strong awful. Who would think that rotting vegetation could smell that bad! So I'm constantly leaving the lid open to dry the stuff out, then if it rains I have to run out and close it.
That reminds me, I have to call the waste company and ask for a new yard waste bin--the metal handle at the front that they attach to the truck to lift the can is almost rusted through. I will do that now before eating.
