This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.

Good morning, everyone! Syzygy, I've fallen behind, too. I'll join you in attempting to get back to equilibrium. Ta das so far today: 1)Cat fed. 2)Both litter boxes completely changed with fresh scoopable litter. 3)Rebooted load in washer. 4)Put away the towels I folded over the weekend. 5)Dishwasher loaded and running. 6)Got trash out and to curb moments before garbage truck came. 7)Zig-zagged some new elastic onto a fitted sheet that I like but that didn't stay in place on the beds anymore. To do's 1)Put the mended sheet on one of our beds. 2)Fold some more laundry. 3) Pick up some stuff in seven year old's room. We are getting ready to re-arrange his room so it's easier to keep neat. Yesterday, my older boy gave him a nightstand and bookcase he wasn't using, and I need to change the room around and get rid of some junk to make room. The book case will help a lot with his clutter, since he's a big reader. After coffee, I'm off and running!

Hi wantinmore! Good job on the laundry. I need to go work out sometime today, if I can, but meanwhile I might get out for a walk to the thrift store in the name of decluttering. Ta da's round two! 1)Pulled bedding off of seven year old's bed, and decided I wanted to wash his mattress pad too before I put on the mended sheet. 2) Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher with surprise stack of dishes from teenager's room. Had room left over for the burner tops from the stove, so they will be good and clean this afternoon. 3) Laid hot, damp soapy towels over stovetop, around burners. In a little bit, the hardened on spills will just wipe off, with no chemicals to make me wheeze. 4)Felt annoyed that Christmas mugs keep ending up in circulation, and cleared off a top shelf in a seldom-used cabinet for them. Stashed them out of easy family reach. 5)Washed copper teakettles and random whatsits from said shelf. When they are dry, I need to decide what to do with them. 6)Did some more laundry. 7)Noticed that the ceramic kitty cat teapots above my cabinets have several years of dust on them. Took them down for cleaning. Heh. I guess I'm working in sevens today. I'll go with that... Here's my to do's 1) More work in seven year old's room. 2)Deal with maneki-neko kitties, so I can put them back up out of reach in a shiny state. 3)While the excessive laundry is ticking me off, use my annoyance constructively to pack up a grocery bag or two of shirts I never wear anymore, throw the bag in the stroller basket and go for a walk to the thrift shop. Back in a bit, y'all are doing a great job today! Woohoo!

Having a hard time last night and today getting moving. I'm at work now of course, but for some reason all my joints are aching today, badly.
TaDas (last night and this morning) 1. Finished Project O!! 2. Figured out how to rescue Project M without needing to purchase anything else> 3. Fixed the router/home network. 4. Made the bed. 5. Washed out my bento box that was dirty.
ToDo 1. Cancel that darn appointment that I keep meaning to cancel. 2. Maintain the bathroom, litterbox, spray feliway, clean that rug! 3. Fix the printer so I can do #4 4. Make progress on Project M, or call it awash. 5. Throw out the trash in my car.
I think that's all I can get done after I finally get home tonight. So we'll see!

Nice to see people working on projects. They're so easy to put aside since they look so intimidating.
I'm happy to announce that the kitchen is back to its glory of last week. Now I just need to keep up with the mess I make as I make it.
Ta dah * Cleaned microwave * Scooped and put away litter * Vacuumed floor
I'm not sure what's next. Maybe some project work.
